I created a werespider because I love crazy lycanthropes (weresharks forever!) and I used this beastie in an encounter where I flipped the battle mat from bird's eye view to side view. Anyone else ever get crazy with a battle mat and/or minis? Always looking for ways to brake the mould.

The werespider is fine, but way less interesting than your battlemap trick. Now i have to find a clever place to use that!
The 'side scrolling' battle map is inspired. I tip my hat to you, Sir. 
I really wonder what the hybrid were-spider form looks like...I'm imaging a 8 limbed, 8 eyed spider headed freak that walks on 6 legs, and uses the remaining 2 as hands.
Another upvote for side view battlemat!
The werespider looks solid. The only criticism I have is that it gets levitate. Just seems like an odd ability to have for someone that can climb walls day in and out.
