With a lack of official weekly articles on the D&D site I'm thinking about increasing my blogging here, focusing on DMing topics and advice for the game.

What kind of DMing topics would you like to seet?

What do you want advice on?

What do you think other people need advice on?

With a new edition there will always be a demand for:

- New DMs and general tried and true methods and ideas

- Conversion of campaigns and games from the previous editions to current

- Things that have changed and any house rule ideas to "improve" or otherwise customize to the group's tastes

These are just a few ideas I've had off the top of my head, and food for thought.

I do feel that the weekly articles (they are coming back, right?) would help with this but I don't recall ever seeing them tackle conversions to new versions. That could be a focus area if you have experience with any of the prior releases.

Oooo, converting games. Topical and not always discussed. That's going right to the top of the list. Thanks!

Since so many people are coming from many different versions (SO many people are coming from 2E, 3.x, PF, and obviously 4E) it may be worth it to try and convert basic PCs, monsters, and/or modules for each edition. That is, if you're familiar with them! I could do them for 3.x, 4E, and maybe Pathfinder if I focused, but there's no way I could just do 2E off the top of my head! Mostly since I never played it...

Procedurals are usually an interesting topic that can be discussed easily without needing some sort of starting point - dungeon crawl vs hex crawl vs regular adventure mode etc. That aside, I think a good option might be to simply look at recent hot topics. Play to what's currently being discussed, or at least spin off from there.
