I revisited the 1001 mounrland horrors thread a while back while reading about the mournlands when I remembered the mournland creation forge can make Warforged with deformities due to the damage it sustained in the Last War. So I thought I would make a thread where we can make various kinds of warforged that can be used in either 3.5 or 4th edition games. Now there are no limitations with this as the mournlands might be also to influence the look of the newly created Warforged aslo due to the fact magic is involve in their creation there's no telling what aberrations might occur in the creation of a Warforged.

Here's what I got

  1. A Warforged with extra-heads severing as each shoulder that have eyes that can move indepent of the other and a extra thumb on each hand. This could make it harder to get the drop on it while also allowing it to hold weapons such as crossbows at "odd" angles allowing it to shoot from places one wouldn't expect it to come from.

  2. Insead of feet this Warforged has a series of completely organic tentacles that don't require nourishment of anykind also it has the odd ability to levitate making it possible to use it tentacles to attack or grab things.

  3. Multi-arm Warforged that may or may not gain benefits from the extra arms (like if it just had arms and no hands that would be quite bothersome)

4: A warforged with plating that detaches and reforms into a humanoid shape, leaving the internal body unprotected. With near total concentration, the core body which houses the spirit can see through and control it's plating to roam, fight and scout up to a mile from it's present position.

5: An immobile warforged head on a plinth in an abandoned library. Capable of solving extremely complex mathematical problems and posesses an eidetic memory. Partnered with a small non-sentient construct who can fetch books for her.

6: A warforged juggernaut built to resemble a minataur, complete with embedded horns for powerful charges.

7: In an online game I played once, the party included a warforged warrior build of blue adamantine in the shape of a beautiful woman as a living work of art. That one always stuck in my mind.

8: A warforged head built with eight spider-like legs, capable of fine manipulation with it's mouth, like the end of an elephant's trunk.

9) A Warforged that has an upper body of a Warforged but with a lower body of a Steel-Kraken. Was thinking this would make a interesting aqua-encounter.

10) As the Warforged rolls out of the Creationforge laden into its body are crystals that look just like Khyber Shards that have binded elementals. This gives the Warforged traits based on the elemental binded to the crystals.

11) 9+10 with air elementals binded to the shards making the Warforged/steel-kraken hybrid able to fly and strike land, sea, and air. The Lord of Blades might like some of these to strike at the meat-bags he hates so much.

12) Warforged with a cannon in place of one arm that has ancient draconic script that allows it to fire fireballs instead of cannon balls at will.

13) A Warforged that has numerous red iris human-like eyes throughout it body that allow it to shot concentrated beams of eldritch magic as well as see all around it. They can also summon these eyes on other objects or form them into a floating disembodied eyeball that can move around to see without putting themselves at risk.

14) A Warforged made of Mercury that allows it to change shape and remain in shape as long as it wills itself to do so. Also allows it to form weapons from it limbs that can proof fatal (don't know how I would go around showing Mercury poisoning)

15) This Warforged comes out of the creationforge with various crystals looking like all three Dragon Shards that hold within it the ancient power of the Mark of making that allows them to replicate 1d20 of themselves every 1d10 days making them a mobile creationforge.

Well, the inspirations for #12 and #14 are pretty obvious. So I saw what you did there.

Enough about popular internet phraseology! Let's make some things which are fun though not nescessarily 100% original!

16) A large warforged with a hunched posture and large interlocking adamantine plates across the back of it's body. Is able to curl up into an almost invulnerable ball-like shape and roll around. Useful for both attack and defence while travelling through damaging terrain.
17) A warforged with a bound fire elemental in it's body, causing it to be permanantly shrouded in deep red flames. (Though able to control what it burns, the warforged cannot turn off this effect, even when unconcious.)
18) A warforged with bulky arms and palms, which end in fingers which can extend several feet on lengths of chain. (Counts as an embedded spiked chain.)
19) Built with a set of silvery metal wings, this warforged is incapable of flight but can shoot a barrage of sharpened metal "feathers" at it's enemies.
20) Apparently normal, this warforged incorperates several small pocket dimensions (The Bag of Holding Effect) hidden down its gullet, behind it's removable eyes and behind a number of it's plates.

21) This warforged when it rolls out of the creationforge looks like a three year old elven girl and has the mentality of a three year old. it also has a knack fo sorcerous magic making it a excellent sorcerer if trained.

22) This Warforged scout has fingers that can mold themselves to fit any and all keyholes making it ideal rogue material for the Lord of Blades armies.

23) As this Warforged Charger leaves the creationforge it is bigger, taller, tougher, stronger and much more agressive with Mithral giving it a silvery colored back.

24) This charger has a corrosive breath attack that gives it an edge in combat.

This scout can place exploding runes upon objects and render itself invisible making it ideal for inflitrating enemy fortresses and destroying them from within.

This is one of my old characters...

25. This Warforged has a big crack running down the front of its armor, from which anyone trained in Arcana can clearly see its magic flowing out. It will not have a long life with its essence bleeding out, but it seems content with that, and has managed to manipulate the leaking magic to cast a few useful spells.

(Was a 3.5 Sorceror/Fighter, would be best moved 4e as a Ritual Casting Fighter)

Inspired by Pluisjen's previous post and Mr. Philip K. ****: (Really, Wizards.com? I can't use someone's actual name?)

- A variety of warforged with powerful elementals bound into them instead of the normal creation forge energy. This makes the warforged more powerful and is cheaper, but the elemental is drawn back to its home plan within several years. The creators and potential buyers don't mind, because this ensures that even if the warforged go rogue, they "die" within a few years anyway.

27. This Warforged is not visably a Warforged at all, but rather some other humanoid race. It may or may not know that this is an artifical flesh covering.

28) This Warforged can pass off as a mighty warrior in armor to other races who are unfamiliar with these constructs. However this warforged as a terrible secret. its face is so hideous so horrible that none may look upon it without feeling their very sanity slip away. They will be compelled to look away yet at the same look upon it and for this very reason it is convinent that the warforged's head comes equip with a retractable mask that covers this face. For reasons only known to the forces that birth it this thing exists.

29) This warforged looks to be pitted and worn. Rust can be seen nearly on 100% of its metallic components with fungi growing on its wooden parts. a awful smell heralds it arrival which is said to sicken even the filthiest of ogres. any weapon whether it be mundane, magical, or artifact looks quite old and frail yet still retains the strength, sharpness, etc of when it first emerged from the forge. living beings touched by this warforged will feel as the very vitality of their bodies being sucked away and will feel as such until they have dispose of or escaped this Warforged.

30) This Warforged looks more undead then construct and is infused with concentrated energies of Necromancy. Where ever this Warforged goes the dead shall rise. The living dead cannot be controlled by the warforged yet they are no threat to it however to the unfortunate living nearby they can be a deadly threat.

31) Thousands of Warforged charger parts emerge from the creation forge however before anyone can assemble them they move on their own accord. They gather in piles turning into liquid forming into a mass of Adamantine. From this goo emerges a Warforged Charger the size of a Adamantine Golem (Epic Handbook I think) perhaps even bigger. Is this the Godforged the Lord of Blades has been trying to assemble? or could this merely be a mutation of the Warforged race that might have destructive benefits for a being who is Warforged and hates the organic races.

32) This Warforged is composed of many leaves which can at will turn into a mass of leaves and sail upon the winds to new places. This Warforged also has a strong connection with the forces of nature making it an ideal druid type character.

33) This Warforged despite its racial penalty to charisma is a natural born speaker. Everytime it speaks it sounds like one of those news anchormen you see on TV. And there's nothing it likes more then to cover all the news in Sharn the City of Towers and other places where big news happens all the time. (this is inspired off one of my friend's warforged character that he roleplayed. He wouldn't shut up so I can read the encounter entry and his voice reminded me of a news anchorman.)
