4e Dragonmark?

Jul 16, 2009 14:51:29 Hi, I'm just curious to know how work the dragonmark in 4e. I have no RPG shop in my city, so I have to ordered from amazon and would like to have a preview on the dragonmark.

The dragonmarked house are my favorite point of the Eberron setting and I am wondering if updating is worth it.

Jul 17, 2009 2:45:14 Dragonmarks are feats. You take it and you get a bonus to some skill use, and the ability to use and master certain thematically-linked rituals.

Jul 17, 2009 9:19:08 If you played 3.5 Eberron then you wil find that Dragon Marks work very differantly in 4e.

On the plus side they all now iver you some minor inate bonuses to certain things you can do as well as free access to learing certain ritules with out requiring ritual caster feat or needing a book for them.

On the negative side there are no least, lesser, or greater dragon marks. Which is kind of a disapointment because it kind of takes away some of the importance of dragon mark hierarchy, and also kind of sad becasue they could have made them tiered feats. You could have had access to the least at heroic, lesser at paragon, and greater at epic.

Jul 17, 2009 9:45:09 I like the fact that they are just a single feat. The way I see it, they are a least mark at heroic levels, a lesser mark at paragon levels, and a greater mark at epic levels. A dragonmark grows in size as your character grows in power.
