The idea is to have the symbiont attach itself to one of the PC - empower and dominate the host generating a fun PvP (player vs. player) encounter where the dominated player attacks his group. game mechanics wise I'm using Hellcows's idea - Diseases. In order to separate the PC from the symbiont the disease needs to be overcome (Heal DC20 when the target is unconscious - forcing the PC to knock him out first before attempting field-surgery). I'm given the player a chance to regain a round of self control when he makes a DC18 Will save. Here are the stats (still a draft): ---------------------------------------------------------------------- SpellWrum Level 6 Minion Tiny aberrant (symbiont) XP 65 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Initative +5 Senses Perception +4;darkvision HP 1; a missed attack never damages a minion AC 20; Fortitude 18, Reflex 17, Will 16 Speed 4 Bite (standard;at-will) - Disease +11 vs. Fortitude target contracts symbiont hosted (see below) and the SpellWrum dies. Alignment Evil Languages - Skills Stealth +9 Str 22(+10) Dex 12(+5) Wis 10(+4) Con 20(+9) Int 5(+1) Cha 10(+4) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Symbiont Hosted Level 6 Disease Will stable DC 18, improve Heal DC25 (Heal DC 20 when target is unconscious) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Initial Effect: The target is dominated and will attack allies The target receives 20 temporary hit points. The target receives +4 to all defenses The target receives +4 to attacks and damage The Target is cured: a SpellWrum re-appears near the host with 1 HP (XP 750) Final State: target dies, a SpellWrum reappears near the host with 1 HP |

And if that's what you want, cool. I think that maybe have the final state be that the PC is dominated by the Spell Worm, because, right now, it appears that this pretty much is kind of a "Save or Lose," since you become dominated when you fail the save. Anyway, just some thoughts. |
