Am I the only one who wants a Dragonhawk mount?

One of the most beautiful pieces of artwork in the ECS, I think, is the one of a dragonhawk rider flying towards Arcanix. Ever since I saw that picture I've wanted to grant my characters their own dragonhawk mounts but I can't seem to find any information in any supplements about how this would be possible.

There are guidelines for gryphons as Paladin mounts or various rules for Draconic mounts, but none for dragonhawks. As they seem to be rather prevalent in Aundair would they be more plentiful? Are they commonly used as mounts or are they relatively rare? Were they used extensively in the Last War?

Anyway, how would a character go about buying or otherwise acquiring a dragonhawk? Has anyone attempted this or had a player try this? I found the dragonhawk stat block in Five Nations along with information on obtaining one as a druid companion, but what if you wanted to buy one? Is it trainable? Are there magebred dragonhawks? Do you have to use Leadership and make the dragonhawk your cohort? Can a Wizard make a dragonhawk his familiar with one of the various Improved Familiar feats?

If anyone has any answers or opinions regarding - or just experience with flying mounts in general - please respond. Thanks.

I wouldn't say most of the other things are out of the question, but a wizard would/should not be able to get a dragonhawk as his familiar. Familiars, even with improved familar, are never powerful or strong (and especially not large. I think a mephit is as big as familiars get).

Just get to Eversong Woods south of the Blood Elf city, you find Dragonhawks all over the place.
oh wait...its D&D not World of Warcraft - forget it ;) (joke)

i love the joke Gilo ( can not wait for wrath) but back to the post. I think a noble would have a dragonhawk at lest in Aundair

I was thinking about the origin of Dragonhawks:
what if you bind a Daelkyr to a Khyber dragonshard, then apply its morphic power on a Dragon egg and a Hawk's egg - will you hatch a Dragonhawk?

I think the name is just creative. There's no way anyone got a Dragon's egg in Eberron, never mind enough to create a new species. The Dragonhawks are named so due to being a gigantic hawk.

Improved Familiar can get you a krenshar familiar. I haven't seen the stats for a dragonhawk, so I can't say how it compares, but Improved Familiar can get you some big and relatively powerful creatures.

Dragonhawks are huge size creatures.
