| #1igotsmeakabobJun 24, 2008 11:04:29 | Alright, so I'm a bit curious. We've already received the Warforged article, we're about to get an Artificer article... these two are integral to Eberron, but are we going to get another integral piece? A Dragonmark article? Or will we have to wait for the ECS? I'm guessing the latter, but thats a really long time.. argh. Plus, as I recall, Keith is away, so theres little chance I can get an answer from him on this issue. Anyone know anything? |

| #3nymrohdJun 24, 2008 14:12:18 | Well considering the very first article of Dragon was the warforged and the next dragon is scheduled to release the artificer, I think we have a fairly good chance to get conversions for most Eberron rules fairly fast. |
| #4That_Blasted_SomoflangeJun 24, 2008 14:46:55 | I know I'd at least be happy if they gave rules for aberrant dragonmarks, if they wanted to let the actual ones come out in the books. |

Much. I've been buying Eberron books as they've released since the 3.5 ECS came out. Thanks for the response though.. I don't know if they're going to be releasing a book for each nation.. right now they plan on only releasing a few Eberron books for 4th, but why would they stick to that if theres a good demand for more? To the rest of you, thanks for the answers, although I think we'll get Dragonmarks before we get Aberrants. |

It'd be nice if WotC would sort of point us in the right direction, as far as how to add D-marks to 4e. My current guess is that they'll remain feat-based, but will also permanently fill one of the characters body slots (to help balance it out). Dragonmark Heir is probably unnecessary now. Can almost guarantee Heir of Siberys will stick around as a Paragon Path. |
| #7mystrichJun 25, 2008 19:28:44 | There's going to be 3 books ECS/DM guide - This is basically fluff and my guess is probably some monsters. It's descriptions of countries, where people fit in, and the setting in general, including many things the ECS didn't have room for originally. Player's Handbook - This will be all of the converted crunch for the setting, probably including dragonmarks, Kalashtar statistics, magic items, etc. Adventure Module - Just what it says. |
| #8igotsmeakabobJun 25, 2008 20:11:14 | Mystrich, those three books are going to be the only three books if sales aren't too good. You're telling me you believe that if demand for Eberron books is high, Wizards is really going to say "Oh no, sorry, we promised to only release three. Go spend your disposable income on other company's games."? |

| #10Arcane_GuyverJun 25, 2008 22:52:17 | You're telling me you believe that if demand for Eberron books is high, Wizards is really going to say "Oh no, sorry, we promised to only release three. Go spend your disposable income on other company's games."? You know that old saying, hope for the best & prepare for the worst. Only three books are confirmed right now, and we're not even sure what all will be included in those books, so there's no point in speculating about further releases yet. |
| #11igotsmeakabobJun 25, 2008 23:10:09 | Ah, I can see your point, Guyver. It just seemed like he was saying that there would be three books and only three books, regardless of what happened. I probably read too far into it. |
| #12the_ubbergeekJun 26, 2008 0:53:36 | Consider two things; TSR really strained the sauce at some times, and so WOTC (witH FR and eberron to a lesser point (there could have been a Planes of Eberron)). Notice how a new era came... with serious catastrophes that happened. A semi-reboot, new slate. Consider that a limited run set, controled and focused and planed, can work actualy well, and be of high quality - TSR'S al-Quadim got good praises I saw, and White Wolf's products have often that design (like Orpheus I think, who had also good reviews). |
| #13nymrohdJun 26, 2008 4:01:28 | Personally I think that good quality monthly articles are good enough for me. We have had a decent general coverage of Eberron anyway and it was never supposed to be the kind of setting when everything has been set in stone. |
| #14hobson1975Jul 08, 2008 10:17:46 | I tend to agree. We have a ton of great story and adventure material to pull from. I'll be very happy with a 4e Eberron CS and PHB. Having modules come out with rock even harder! |
