I'm thinking the Wizard's, but Im not sure if balance would be an issue there.

I know I can multiclass, I'm just wondering if some of the currently existing Paragon paths would work as class paragon paths for my playing around with it

In the contrary, the first one is a burst centered on the artificer himself, which put him in a situation where he must be in the middle of the battle area, with his companions, for the power to be effective.
If that so, I see its effectiveness greatly reduced by the fact that your exposing your bloodied artificer to more potential threats.... (even with the buff to saves...)

In accordance to this point of view, I'd see the pc tracing a sigil with his blood on an implement (the sigil by itself imbues the implement with a specific power, but the implement acts as a focal matrix for directing the power) and pointing this one in the direction of his companions... (Ranged, 10).

Could be a "noble sacrifice" thing :P , of course, but to me, artificers are more pragmatic than any other pc class... I think I will propose it nonetheless to the artificer at my table, in the spirit of play-testing...

(hoping, as a french guy, that it wasn't full of grammatical horrors....)
