| #2bossemeyerOct 01, 2008 6:32:21 | Think it was a great Article, and i would Love to get more like it for other regions and Cities just like it. just one flaw... Why no City Map? |
| #3Troy70Oct 01, 2008 6:37:25 | I for one really like it. |
| #4elrodianOct 01, 2008 11:04:50 | i love this one. It is great |
| #5AlasOct 01, 2008 12:11:20 | Goblins who style themselves redcaps? I know what my next character is going to be... |
| #6naturaxOct 01, 2008 14:23:09 | Thanks for the link! |
| #7_radagast__dupOct 01, 2008 15:12:58 | Very good stuff. I wish we could see this kind of information developed for many of the cities across Khorvaire. Thanks Keith! |
| #8Neutronium_DragonOct 07, 2008 21:58:56 | "Minotaurs engage in a form of wrestling in which the two combatants seek to push or shove the opponent out of the ring." Minotaur Sumo wrestlers? I must admit that that's an interesting spin on them. ![]() |
| #9Cyber-DaveOct 07, 2008 23:44:48 | Anyone know what book the "Deathmaster" class can be found in? One of the Old Bones members has levels in this class. Seems interesting... very Karnnath... but I don't remember seeing it in any of my books. |

Seems interesting... very Karnnath... but I don't remember seeing it in any of my books. It's not a class. It's an NPC Template from page 177-178 of the 4E DMG. |
| #11Cyber-DaveOct 08, 2008 6:39:04 | Aha! Awesome. Yes, I need to remember... 4e doesn't use classes, it uses templates. Doh. I've been designing my house setting using Star Wars Saga rules for the last couple weeks, so I have been in the NPC's still have classes mentality. :P Sorry about that. P.S. Hellcow, can you give me some hope that we will see the Bone Knight PrC translated into something like a Paragon path in the future? Or at least, I don't know, the Weretouched Master? |
| #12HellcowOct 08, 2008 12:28:09 | Hellcow, can you give me some hope that we will see the Bone Knight PrC translated into something like a Paragon path in the future? Or at least, I don't know, the Weretouched Master? I can't promise either, but they both seem like likely candidates - especially weretouched master, being one of the original ECS PrCs. |
| #13NolwelenOct 08, 2008 19:36:47 | I can't promise either, but they both seem like likely candidates - especially weretouched master, being one of the original ECS PrCs. Honestly, I must reply on this since it isnt the first time I was able to recognize your immediate proactive response to the fanbase. Its a cool thing to get a reply from a developer and you seem to do that quite often. Thanks Mr. Baker! |
| #14HellcowOct 08, 2008 19:39:45 | Thanks Mr. Baker! You're welcome. I love the game and the setting, and I'm always happy to help if I can. Thank you for playing! |
| #15bossemeyerOct 09, 2008 0:09:11 | You're welcome. I love the game and the setting, and I'm always happy to help if I can. Thank you for playing! Just my Opinion... Hellcow working on the ECG is the only thing that makes me feel safe that its not going to be screwed up... |
| #16HellcowOct 09, 2008 0:38:35 | Just my Opinion... Hellcow working on the ECG is the only thing that makes me feel safe that its not going to be screwed up... Well, while I appreciate the vote of confidence, I also want to give credit to James Wyatt, who's the project lead on the ECG. When WotC chose Eberron in the Fantasy Setting Search, the first thing the did was bring me to Seattle and stick me in a room with James, Bill Slaviscek, Chris Perkins, a others, to talk about the things they liked and disliked about the world as it was and to brainstorm ways to make it better. It was one of the best creative experiences of my life, and there's a number of distinctive elements of the setting that came out of those meetings. So I'm very happy to be working with James again. I don't know if the full list of authors has been revealed, but theres's a lot of good people on it. |
| #17_radagast__dupOct 09, 2008 17:57:12 | I agree. I am glad both James Wyatt and Keith Baker are working on the ECG. Do we know who is working on the Player's Guide? Is it the same bunch? Personally, I'd like to see Nic Logue somewhere in there as I've loved what he's done with Eberron material. |
| #18NolwelenOct 12, 2008 15:45:04 | I must say I love this town, Graywall. It remembers me of this strange settlement in "Vampire Hunter D". It has been called "Barbaroy" in the film. There all the strange creatures have sought shelter and I just got the same impression of Graywall. |
| #19oidOct 13, 2008 17:35:27 | why did i imagine an interrogation room that they threw you in.lol. but if that's the kind of work you get when you use harsh lights and the good designer bad designer thing, then, go for it. seriously, though, and i maybe a little naive, i have pretty good faith in WotC.:D |
| #20AlasOct 20, 2008 8:17:26 | Now that all the gladiator articles are up from Dragon, I have a mind to make my next campaign Law and Order: Graywall. The players take on the role of freelance champions, investigating clients' claims in the city and settling cases in the ring. Fewer Internal Affairs inquests, but they still have to deal with the media (bookies), the mayor's office (Xorchylic plays favorites), and interpersonal drama (healthy people don't choose this line of work!). Every session opens with the hook (a little combat), moves on to the primary lead and subsequent reveals (skill checks), and ends with the court scene (a lot more combat). How lawful and orderly can the party make Graywall before the Daughters notice? Donh-donh! |
| #21GiloOct 20, 2008 11:36:38 | Now that all the gladiator articles are up from Dragon, I have a mind to make my next campaign Law and Order: Graywall. "In the Graywall criminal justice system, the people are represented by two separate yet equally important groups: the Flayer Guard, who investigate crime and the Xorchylic who prosecute the offenders. These are their stories." |

I don't know if the full list of authors has been revealed, but theres's a lot of good people on it. I think its important to remember that while i love James' Novels and i know he has the best interest at mind for Eberron, I like how your not a inside man. Your not someone they really need to come to and ask "is it ok if i do this" much like i feel the Forgotten Realms had to do some times. But your an Outside Mind going in and saying "this is what it was, this is what it should be" and then you get to hear the best and worst from those who are so close to the new Edition and view it from the same mind as those of us who play the game and didn't get to be at the table to design 4E. You are our best Advocate. It doesn't Hurt that your a consistent voice on the forums giving your opinion and impute as a common person. If there is One thing in my mind that Wizards of the Coast should steal from World of Warcraft and Blizzard is a Community Management Team that is more about connecting with people rather then just Moderating threads. For Eberron your the best thing we have and we love you for it. |
