I have only had a chance to browse the EPG, but I noticed that byeshk seems to be missing. It wasn't in the equipment chapter.

Now it might be in the campaign setting, but it seems odd that it wouldn't be in the player's guide at least as a mention. Are there any mentions of it there, perhaps in an obscure corner?

Since there's no longer Damage Reduction by materials, there's no need for byeshk.

It might make for an interesting weapon property or armor type though.

No longer damage reduction, yes
I could see a Vulnerability to Byeshk being appropriate though.

Weapon property that can only be applied to maces and hammers that, on top of the usual damage and critical bonuses, deals addirtional damage to creatures with the aberrant origin and as a daily power grants the user the option to reroll a saving throw.

Seems simple enough. Personally, I never payed much attention to Byshek, Flametouched Steel, Crysteel, and the other exotic materials in the ECG.

I'd like to see it applied to heavy blades, as well. At least one novel character (Geth of The Dragon Below and Legacy of Dhakaan trilogies) wields a Warlord's Blade of byeshk. Perhaps it should only be applied to two-handed weapons (ie-heavy-hitters)? A Byeshk Fullblade makes a lot of sense, in my opinion.

I've actually created a couple versions of Flametouched Iron for our game. I haven't quite settled on the item's level, yet, but I think I've settled on the properties.

I was hoping to find these two materials in the EPG, but wasn't surprised that they weren't included. All of the magic items we've seen in 4E seem to have been consciously created to be very "vanilla", or friendly to multiple settings.
