Hi all, my players just stepped on the land of Riedra. I was keeping a record of the campaign with the calendar of Khorvaire, and now I want to change it to the Riedran style. I know the difference between Unity and YK, but I can't find the name of the months. Can someone point me to the right place? Thanks.

Bump.

Hellcow, have you written this somewhere or do you have the answer?

Meh. Good like running a 4e campaign in psionic Sarlona.

Now, if you're one of those people who are still 3.5...

Uh...have you gotten Secrets of Sarlona yet?

Secrets of Sarlona. The sourcebook?

I know what Secrets of Sarlona is. I was referring to the first two sentences.

To the OP, there is no Riedran calendar, literally. The Inspired discourage the use of dates.

Secrets of Sarlona, p. 12, says, "Inspired and high-ranking Chosen are the lorekeepers of Riedra, but these records and the dates used in them are not widely disseminated. Dates are unnecessary among common Riedrans, and their use is discouraged. The majority of Sarlonans need not concern themselves with history—they are satisfied to know that the Inspired arrived sometime in the distant past, brought blessing and peace with them, and since that time, dates are unimportant."

Oh. I think you were confused by me saying "good like". I mean "good luck". It's just, based on my experiences, it's sort of hard to create an effective psionics system in 4e until official sourcebooks come out.

Until then, I discourage PCs to not use psionics, and when going to Sarlona, usually create psionic monsters only. =|

But to stay on-topic...yeah, I read that part. It's not surprising that they don't teach Riedran dates...or teach them much of anything, in fact, except state-run dreams and teachings.

Not really.
Take anything in the monster manual and add
+X Vs. Will; X psychic damage.

Thanks for all the replies.

Amaril, yes I've read that part, but still wondering if there's something I can use on the campaign record...
Anyway, I'll just make up something I guess.

And Scrino, yes I'm staying with 3R. I do not intend to switch to 4E until the 4E Eberron settings and the 4E psionic books come out.

Ah. At least you're not zealotly anti-4e then. =]

That's true. Actually I DM 3R but play 4E.
I should say they give me very different feelings.

I enjoy the simple concepts of 4E, but there's obvious something that I can only find in 3R (like compulsion). I would expect 4E psionics to make it a difference tho. :D
