| #1Charles_PhippsMay 14, 2008 3:12:17 | Question for the peanut's gallery. Can Shifters be attractive or must they be consigned to looking like this? ![]() I of course, don't necessarilly assume that one should go the other way and make them look like this either. ![]() But some middle ground for attractive shifters can be reached I think. In my case, I believe they should always look savage but not necessarilly unappealing, which is a function of the charisma score. But yes, I don't think any normal Shifter woman with a Charisma over 8 should look like this. ![]() |
| #2chrysMay 14, 2008 7:22:08 | I think that shifters should look like the second pic... :D |
| #3yossariusMay 14, 2008 10:34:25 | If you want to run games for furrie-fans, go for it. It's your game. But my shifters don't look like Wolverine, either. |
| #4dragoondarkfireMay 14, 2008 10:41:59 | Well think of it like this. Are all humans cute or hugely muscular? Of course not. Shifter, like any humanoid race, very greatly in appearance from one to another. How difficult is it to assume that one shifter Sorceress (good or evil, what have you) simply grooms herself to look more cute than threatening to lure people into a false sense of security? Also: since most are mammillian based they should typically respond to the genetic idea of what we consider to be "cute". Basically shifter kids will still have a babyish or cute appearance to garner protection from those who see them. |

| #6chrysMay 14, 2008 13:00:28 | thats a doggy girl so she would be a inu-mimi ( I think ) :embarrass |
| #7Charles_PhippsMay 14, 2008 13:30:56 | Yes, this is a Furry.![]() |
| #8green_yawgmothMay 14, 2008 15:28:27 | Nekomimi(?) are not furries. Animal parts + humanoid form = furry. |
| #9EdymnionMay 14, 2008 17:52:51 | My idea of a female shifter:![]() |
| #10dragoondarkfireMay 14, 2008 19:55:38 | I see I'm not the only one who's familiar with Bruce Timm's hero maker. |
| #11Marcus_MajarraMay 14, 2008 22:45:36 | I believe the intent is that all shifters (especially females) be modeled after Mel Gibson. |
| #12PaulonMay 14, 2008 23:33:55 | It took me a while, but I found the site where that was made. It seems pretty cool, but unfortunately it's way too slow for dialup users like me. |
| #13the_ubbergeekMay 14, 2008 23:50:36 | Animal parts + humanoid form = furry. furries = 50/50 % or so. Full on hybrid. A set of cute ears and a fluffy tail on the butt do not a furry make. |
| #14Charles_PhippsMay 15, 2008 0:07:17 | Yes, or Playboy Bunnies would be Furries. But yes, how does one save with that webpage? |
| #15PaulonMay 15, 2008 0:21:27 | According to the thread I found the link to that in, you need to take a screenshot, then paste the image into a graphics editing program. I didn't manage to get it to load far enough to attempt that myself. |
| #16EdymnionMay 15, 2008 18:56:24 | I have a thread about the generator up over in the art board, if anybody wanted the link, should have just asked. :P Anyway, yeah, there is no save. Gotta do a Print Screen and then paste it into an art program (even MSPaint will do the job) and crop it down. And while we're at it, here's the Warforged I made in it: ![]() |
| #17PaulonMay 15, 2008 22:17:10 | I have a thread about the generator up over in the art board, if anybody wanted the link, should have just asked. :P Thanks, but it was more fun finding it this way. I just wish it wasn't too slow for dialup. ![]() |
| #18sallaMay 15, 2008 23:38:51 | Well think of it like this. +1 |
| #19frog8986May 16, 2008 11:15:34 | yeah I think so![]() the shifter in this pic made me do a double take, don't know if it makes me strange to find the woman attractive but *shrugs* |
| #20octaviusiiiMay 16, 2008 17:40:47 | the shifter in this pic made me do a double take, don't know if it makes me strange to find the woman attractive but *shrugs* Any woman blowing the heads off huge attacking slugs has my vote for "attractive." And I don't see why shifter's can't be unattractive. There is, if I remember correctly, a kind of tiny guardinal that is most certainly "cute." |
| #21sallaMay 16, 2008 18:48:38 | Any woman blowing the heads off huge attacking slugs has my vote for "attractive." I think you mean the Musteval, which looks ferretty? Yeah, they're kinda cute. |
| #22missekatMay 17, 2008 7:07:37 | IMC it's all and everything. My two shifter gamers are brothers, (both ingame and irl), and one of them almost has more fur and slobber than his wardog, the other.. well.. woverine isn't that far off. Then theres a lion-woman, (if she can kick your ass with a superior smirk on her face, she is a woman, not a girl), and some warthogs, rats and other mammalian shifters. I play heavily on the "lycantrope"-aspect of the shifters, and well.. if it fits the situation to make the shiter a furrie, the its a goram furrie. ![]() |
| #23missekatMay 17, 2008 7:16:25 | Oh, and Edy, can i get the link for the generator? The one Paulon links to is in spanish or something like that, and I that gives me a hard time using it. |
| #24PaulonMay 17, 2008 9:47:02 | As far as I could find out, that's the only version. I hope I'm wrong though. |
| #25joni-sanMay 17, 2008 10:59:48 | This thread is useless without pics! Moar kemonomimi plz :3 -Joni |

Portuguese, actually, but no, thats the only one unless somebody here is skilled at editing giant flash programs. |
| #28raniaMay 18, 2008 23:31:38 | Portuguese, actually, but no, thats the only one unless somebody here is skilled at editing giant flash programs. If I could get the code, it wouldn't be that hard; just replace each instance of a word in Portuguese with that same word in English. At least, I hope it'd work with that; I've never actually tried programming Flash. JavaScript, yes; Flash, no. ...I just had a geek-out, didn't I? |
