Cyre Lore - Where?

When collecting stuff for our new campaign, I'm currently having a pretty bad time at assembling the things I want to include for the prequel - Cyre, before the mourning. Scouring the books available to me, I only found various hints at Cyran Lore, Cyran History, Cyran Civilization - but not that much.

Five Nations contains a bit of this, but most is rather short and always with the mourning and its consequences intertwined.
Even my best bet - "Forge of War" does NOT include Cyre on its own.

So, I'd like my players to start in Cyre, pre-mourning. [4e] From the start up to 2 or 5, depending on their liking. I'd really like to bring that nation to life though - and while I could build a lot of stuff on my own, I know I need for myself and my canon-liking as much information as I can get my hands on.

This is my To-Do-List, where I hope to get some input in this forum as well.

1) assemble all locations where anything on the old Cyre is located, be it sourcebooks (most are available), novels (many) or web-based (dragonshards, ... ?)

2) make a list on must-have locations or events from say 990 YK on.

3) make a plan on how to present it to the players, who of course have not much information on Cyre either.

Sadly, information on Cyre itself, rather than the blasted hellhole that replaced it, has always been sparse.
I'd love to see a DDI article on it. Perhaps even a short series of them?

Try the Grand History of Eberron found in multiple links here. Also, please feel free to leave me a list of links you would like to see added.

That compilation is truly amazing! Is it as complete as it looks?

Think they would expand on Cyre in DDI? I hope so, 'cause IMO Cyre has the most interesting culture.

probably not. From a canonical point of view, cyre's as dead as it gets.

But even if Cyre as a nation is no longer. Cyre as an ideal is going strong by all of it's inhabitants. After all, there is New Cyre, Q'barra and whole districts in Sharn filled to the brim with Cyrean reffuges that is now only unified by one thing, their culture. So I feel its actually quite important to have a DDI article on the subject.

Cyrans around Khorvaire? Now that would be a good, and fitting read.

I think it's imperitive to the feel of eberron to know more about Cyre, pre and post war. particularly since there is an epic destiny where you cure the mourning, allowing for the resettling of Cyre. knowing where Cyrans are and what they're doing, and what Cyre was like before the mourning would make it a lot easier to handle that, and later eberron campaigns in the same group.
