D&D 3.5e - Warforged Juggernaut BAB

Oct 30, 2012 16:36:54 I was wondering: did anyone ever get an offcial reason why the Warforged Juggernaut - a prestige class built for combat by almost any definition - has a Cleric's Base Attack Bonus instead of a Fighter's? I asked WotC directly, but they tell me they don't cover anything earlier than 4E anymore.

They gain a bonus to charge at 2nd level. Is that what you're referring to?

Oct 30, 2012 22:06:19 Yes, the total +2 to charge. I'm with you though, I always thought it was a fighter's progression BAB. It may be difficult to track down the person responsible, with multiple writers and editors for the sourcebook.

Oct 31, 2012 12:55:52 It may simply be that they were worried that along with everything else they get that it would be just too good, so they dumbed down the attack progression to put the brakes on them a bit.
