The battle of the progenitor wyrms is literal not metaphorical, it began with Siberys Creating creatures of sentient life, in order to build a world out of nothing, Kyber fiercely disagrees with this and attacks to stop it, resulting in Siberys’ death, siberys creations live though be it in a twisted state, beings now know as the Daelkyr, there was one Daelkyr though that had not been born yet, and was “hatched” for lack of a better word after Siberys death, this being free from corruption created the first celestials. Eberron battles Kyber shortly after, and Kyber becomes bound with in Eberron, at this point Eberron now the planet Eberron creates life, giving sentient though only to its chosen creatures the dragons. Siberys in a broken and dead form ( I reason that the progenitors don’t really “die” per say, but become greatly reduced is scope and power) wills it for other creatures to be given sentient thought and the lesser races come to be. The campaign that I’m running is set up in a way that its becomes clear that Eberron is not happy about the lesser races existing, and views them as just as much of a threat as the demons of kyber. It was for this reason the Draconic Prophecy was created in order to insure the world would one day revert to the way Eberron always wanted it to be and sets the lesser races against the planet, and all dragon kind. If any one is interested I will type more about my eberron, but pardon the cynicism but I’m not going to type everything if no one really cares. |

What premise are you giving your players? Meaning, are we looking at a traditional "we meet in a tavern" or what? 2. At what point do you see the players figuring out what's going on? I'd think the first, say, 8 - 10 levels would be spent fighting red-herring villains before the players uncover one or more Chamber agents pulling the strings. 3. What are you planning for your big finale? |

It’s complicated , the campaign has two starting points because the players have two sets of characters. The group that they stated with were hired and assembled by house Medani in order to find and retrieve and book from a cult of the dragon below that had hidden them selves under Sharn. The first groups main premise if figuring out who they are, as it starts to become apparent early on that they are descendants of people that history has tried to forget. The second group started in a newly formed settlement in the Eldeen Reaches. group two mostly works for different Auidair organizations who have a vested interest in the semi magical plants that the town is growing. This group focuses more on the glooming and why it exists and starts with them curing a disease that is effecting the whole town. The group has taken a turn to exploring why the mournland exist and is currently trapped in a demiplane buried in the ethereal 2. At what point do you see the players figuring out what's going on? I'd think the first, say, 8 - 10 levels would be spent fighting red-herring villains before the players uncover one or more Chamber agents pulling the strings. The first group of characters hit a breaking point where they no longer felt the need to travel together, so some of the members of the group learned what is going on but most of group one is still in the dark. The only one that knows right now and hasn’t had contact with the rest of the group is the party bard, who was giving the memories of a agent of the chamber that went rogue, and sacrificed her self to destroy a undead tarrasque. I see the rest of the group learning what’s going on primarily of the actions of the party bard and group 2. Group two hasn’t learned yet but are a lot close to learning then group one. They are currently in a demiplane that the dragons use as a prison to remove people and places that have one way or another found a way to go against the prophecy. I see the first born of the Daelkyr who is stuck there for regaining his sanity laying it all out to them, if they can get to him and if they believe him. 3. What are you planning for your big finale? The dragons see fit to let agents of kyber do their dirty work if they can get them to, primarily in the form of the demons that have been sealed away in the silver flames (there are 4 of them in my campaign). One of the party members in group one has been marked by kyber to be a vessel for one of these demon lords. It is written in the prophecy that he will become the demon and Argonnessen is using this transformation and the excuse and the flag to invade. If group two does what I think it will party one will be freed from the prophecy and Khorvaire won’t be forced to let them in with open arms to have them deal with a problem that they can’t deal with. The combined parties will probably then be sent to destroy the conduit that connects the prophecy. I see this conduit as being some thing like a prismatic dragon, unless I think of something better or some one else does. |
