Docent components, translators only?

So the Eberron Campaign Setting lists pricing for docent components based on what nifty magic "extras" you want them to have.  My question is: What if you only want a translator?  I don't particularly care for any of the bells and whistles a docent can be enhanced with, I just want a translator, and not a particularly egotistical one.

So, how much would just a translator Docent be?

Assuming 3.5 you would just make it like a magic item in the back of the dmg magic item section.

A full language translation docent (inbedded) would be.  [2000 Gold] x [Comprehend languages 2] x [Caster level 3]   = 12,000 Gold Market Value  = 6,000 production cost

If you you came to the Cannith enclave in Rhukaan Draal, I (Elanthis, my artificer) would be willing to make it for you, pending you are Good for 4500 gold, if your not good then it would cost you 24,000 gold to have one made up for you.  And there is no unfortunatly no way to bluff him into thinking your good if you are not.

To actually get inside of the enclave you will have to walk thru a series of purified walls of fire (10d8 holy dmg =good take no dmg, neutral 1/2, evil full) that are all set up to bypass (28 points of) spell resistance and are in effect continually.

(he has all three of the eberron feats that cut down on time/gp/xp when making magic items.)

(( Long story short if you make it yourself 6000 and 12 days cost.  If ya have someone like me make it would cost you, if good 4500 and take 9.6 days))

If you had an item that I could retain the essence from that was worth 12 k gold market value that would allow me to use the xp from it to make you a new component out of that item for free.  But i would only do that for a Good alligned person.

PM me if you want me to make it for ya, we can talk to our respective GM's and work something out if you want.
