So this was posted recently and there still has been no discussion about it, so I thought I'd change that.

I didn't do a side-by-side comparison, but judged on the 4e stats alone, this looks like a lot of attention was paid in the conversion process. I consider Elder Evils to be the worst of the conversions, wth intensely boring solo monsters that seem like they'd be more of a chore to fight than anything. But the Dragons of Eberron conversion solos seem very well put togther.

Probably mostly because they're based on Dragons, so there's a lot of reference material to make a good solo fight there.

Did anyone see the statblock for that tiger-headed balor? I don't remember his name, so it might've been in the conversion, or he might've just been a normal balor to begin with, so didn't need a special stat block.

Did anyone do a more detailed, side-by-side comparison?

Kudos for even finding it.  They don't seem to be calling much attention to this, do they?  Bizarre, since it might prompt some extra sales of these books, or at least show that they follow through on (some of) their promises.

I especially like Zenobaal's Prophecy attacks and the fact that even Dawnwing's statsblock reflects his arrogance. Dekaraz, the first statted Qabalrin vampire, has some interesting abilties as well. Oh, and it seems that the tiger-fiend just uses a balor's statistics.

This thread got me curious, where can I see this conversion?

Yeah, that's the one I'm really waiting for. I made my own conversion of Lurking Two-Maws that I'll probably favor over anything they come up with, but the Legendary Hunts were a big reason I wanted to see the conversion.

Also the various NPCs like Cartha, head of the Bildge Rats. (What's interesting is that the lore for the Bildge Rats seems to have the 4e status of lycanthropes in mind, with the gangs ability to make more wererats seemingly unique and rare.)

If there was any singular creature in D&D 3.5e that tested the fortitude of my underwear, it was Zenobaal. That Dragon inspired terror in me like nothing else. It's excellent to see him in 4e and as bad-arse as ever.

Speaking of which, I need to go change again...

After the Elder Evils conversion, I didn't expect much from the Dragons of Eberron conversion, and I was very, very pleasantly surprised.  There were a few places where I'd have done things differently (Haze-of-Death comes to mind), but overall, each dragon and underling is an impressive feat of design well worth a place in 4E.

Hell, this conversion was enough to make me buy Dragons of Eberron
