We are considering using essentials (the races are easy to fix, losing the artificer is a big mark against), and if we do I was thinking of running the new druid. The problem is it's supposed to be a more urban campaign. It's hard to really tell yet without the book, but I'm having problems rectifying this. We'll be based out of Sharn, and I'm thinking of removing a lot of the "natural protector" flavor and making him more a guide who helps get people around the country side. But I was curious if other people had better ideas to rectify the primal origin with an urban lifestyle. |

Just like the Gatekeepers elsewhere in Khorvaire, the Sharn sect is primarily interested in ensuring that the sinister powers of Khyber remain sealed in their deep lairs. So they call on primal energy to power these seals and meditate in the green places of the city to recenter themselves and contemplate the balance of forces in the world. |

I'd forgotten about those guys. It could work, I'm trying to work him into the mercenary feel most of the others are using. This might be a lead worth looking into though. |

Maybe your druid is respected for his dominion over nature and his ability to tap into primal energies to defeat his enemies. He could easily fit into any campaign, including urban settings, with a background like this. While a traditional sell-sword might put his quarry to steel, your druid just has alternate means of getting the job done. While nature is not as apparent in a place like Sharn, the influence of Syrania makes Sharn a natural conduit for energies associated with air and wind, and primal sources from the nearby countryside tend to get caught in the unseen vortex. |

I like that a lot, give him a past including say the King's Forrest and I think I have a lead. Thanks for the help. |
