I've read that dwarves in Eberron do not grow facial hair, contrary to the ever ubiquitous dwarven beard mythology.  What is the real lore behind Eberron dwarfs and beards?  (silly argument between friends). Thanks !  -Yamnu

Nothing changed.  Males have 'em, women don't.  I don't believe Eberron dwarves attach any particular cultural importance to the presence of facial hair, however, so a clean-shaven dwarf, while probably rare, isn't a big deal.

A dwarven character in one of the old Dungeon Eberron adventures - Steel Shadows, I think - was considered odd for his lack of facial hair.

I think you're remembering Dark Sun dwarves, who are in fact hairless.

Yes, he's considered 'odd'.  Not 'You must have dishonored your clan and be ready to commit suicide because you have performed the unthinkable act of shaving you terrible person'.  Which is precisely what I said above.

Do I detect a hint of Warhammer dwarves?

Not intentionally, as I've never touched a Warhammer figure or book or whatever it comes as.
