#1 gondolier Jul 11, 2008 10:40:03	So I've been wondering, and perhaps this has been addressed before: In fantasy worlds (I selected Eberron because it's my campaign setting), there are Dwarves. Are there also dwarfs? I mean, are there short-statured adults of the Humanoid (Human) variety? I ask this with no intention of being glib or insulting. What happens if you are a Human of about 3'9", broad in the shoulders, proportionally short-legged and large handed, and you live in a world in which most people assume you are of another Race? How do you respond to Humans who want you to be their banker or appraise their weapons all the time? How do you respond to DwarVEs who think you're a freak because you shave? Where do you fit in?
#2 snarky_monkey Jul 11, 2008 11:28:02	There are probably dwarfs, but I would think that the chance of them being mistaken for Dwarves is slim, unless perhaps as dwarven juveniles. The dwarven race is supposed to be so broad in stature that they weigh approximately as much as an adult human. A person who sufferers from dwarvism will never weigh that much or be that broad. Perhaps certain types, such as those who appear more like little people, than compacted people, would be more likely to be mistaken for halflings. Least that's my opinion.
