The illustration on the cover of the Eberron 3.5 Deluxe Character Sheets folder shows a Warforged wielding what look like the magical equivalent of a dual ended light saber and a blaster. I've been poring through the Eberron books, and have found nothing similar to either item.

The armbow description doesn't match at all what the blaster illustration shows (yet one more reason to incorporate an image of each item).

The dual light saber doesn't look like a psionic item, but that's my next best guest so far.

I haven't seen the image in question, but perhaps the "lightsaber" is a Brilliant Energy (DMG 3.5) two-bladed sword/double scimitar...

As for the "blaster," the closest thing I can think of is some form of crossbow (repeating maybe?).

To me, the light saber is actually some form of magical staff. As for the "blaster", I think it's actually an embedded wand; one of the books (MoE?) has a wrist-mounted wand socket option for warforged.

That's the one. His headgear and the scrolls suggest wizard or artificer to me. The way he's holding the opbject in his left hand suggests staff to me as opposed to a slashing weapon. The right-hand object is unclear as we can't see the business end, but again, I think it's an interpretation of a wand socket.

That's one cool looking warforged.

Firstly, thanks Talae for posting the image, and thanks to everyone for their ideas.

As far as the left hand goes, yeah, it definitely looks magical in nature, but to me it looks like it's being wielded as a magical quarterstaff not a spell storing staff. Hmmm...

The right hand, though, shouldn't be the wand sheath because the wand sheath doesn't explicitly mention that the warforged cannot use the hand for other tasks the way this looks. The wand sheath description makes it sound like the warforged gains a socket in the palm of its hand that fits the wand up into its forearm. All it has to do is point a finger to use the wand. When the wand is depleted, and not before, it drops out like ejecting the magazine from a gun, allowing for a new wand to be inserted.

It could very well be the armbow, which fires magical bolts [even so far as draining HP to make more than the standard 20 per day] as it covers the hand and arm. As the bolts are magical, they would not require the usual bow and string mechanisms of a standard crossbow, so it may resemble a gun moreso than a crossbow.

Again, thanks for the ideas.

P.s. Why does the Battlefist give warforged an extra finger, turning them from TMNTs to metallic Simpsons? I'm fairly certain that the extra finger isn't the reason for the increased damage.
