I do apologize for if this is late or old news, but on Amazon I saw the Eberron Campaign Guide will be released July 21, 2009.

Really? Wasn't it to be in June? This. SUCKS!

They swapped release dates, the Eberron Player's Guide will be released in June the Eberron Campaign Setting will be released in July.

We never were expressly told why.

It might be that one needed a last minute revision, it could be that they changed it due to feedback from releasing the FRCS fist and the FRPG second.

Personally, I prefer that they release the Player's guide First. Based on what I saw in the FRCG vs the FRPG, the FRPG had all the info that I needed to run FR in 4e, while the FRCG basically had a lot of info I could have gotten in older books and a few new things like the spellplague.

Since Eberron is not getting a massive time jump, it only makes sense that we get the PG first, so that we can build characters and run Games. All the CG is really going to do is rehash the information that 3.5 players have access to so that players just getting into Eberron can catch up with those of us who picked it up from the get go.
