| #2fabius_maximusJun 02, 2008 9:16:36 | The 4e books for Eberron will come out next year. |
| #3ieattrollsforbreakfastJun 02, 2008 10:54:41 | Eberron 4e is due out in 2009 as Fabius says. The rumour you heard might have evolved from the revelation that Eberron will only get 3 books (a campaign guide, a player's guide and an adventure), just like FR this year and the campaign settings to come. |

| #6trannicJun 04, 2008 19:12:04 | Ya, as far as I can tell, 4th has taken a number of Eberron concepts (the main ones being shifters, warforged and the Artificer), and almost completely destroyed them. The 'forged are almost nothing like what they were, same with shifters, and the artificer doesn't work at all under the new ruleset. Of course, very little of 3.5 works under 4th, but that's beside the point. |
| #7EdymnionJun 04, 2008 19:40:19 | Oh, its worse than that. Its ripped several of the Dragonmarked Houses right out of the game by removing the races that make them up. It then tosses in new races that have absolutely nothing to do with Eberron, one of which relies heavily on a cosmology that does not exist in Eberron, and just for good measure takes some of the most setting important classes out of the game. And is it any wonder we're only getting 2 sourcebooks this time around? Eberron is anemic from all the blood loss caused by these massive amputations. |
