It will be set a few hundred years in the future (about 100-200 years). Yes I plan on having "guns", yes I will be drastically altering the setting. It has been some time sense I read through the books of my favorite setting (I know run a homebrew game), but I think if I picked up a 3.5 (heavily altered) game and ran it I would want to run this. So I'll start with the Five Nations. |

The skill of Artificing has led into numerous new fields as well. House Canniath is but a whisper now, never having been reunited it lost alot of power. Over the years air ships have become more common, as have other elemental vehicles. The secret of Zilargo's magic has spread to its new allies, the United Khorvairian Democracy (or UKD for short). Another large advancement where arcanearms. These are weapons like cannons, pistols, and rifles. They are cheap to make, but the ammunition is what is costly, even after 50 years of production no break throughs have been made. The benefit of the weapons are they are easy to use and highly effective (high crit). |

The end result reignited the war between Thrane and Karnnath, but what made things worse is they empowered the BoV and Emerald Claw who now rule the society. For the most part commoners are nothing more then food for the undead, at best they sign up to be part of the Emerald Claw. If they pass their training then they will be sent to the front lines to fight to the death. The people of the Karnnath don't fight for the most part because they believe it is a nessicary evil. That once they defeat the evil Thranes the Blood of Vol and Emerald Claw will relenquish its power back to the living and they can continue on. Breland After the death of King Borenal, Breland fell into the Quarter Wars, 25-years of civil unrest. Not a real war per se, but there were many riots and the country was split into multiple states and factions. The eastern area of Breland became known as New Cyre and was taking Prince Oarglev. Most of the violent conflicts during the Quarter Wars where on the border of New Cyre. Other then the attacks against new Cyre for the most part there was little fighting. In the end Breland is the founding home of the United Khorvairian Democracy. Cyre Destroyed and in ruins after the Day of Mourning, most of the inhabbitants that survived the event moved to eastern Breland. They lived their peacefully and founded the city New Cyre. Although given no real power in the realm, King Borrenal did feel sorry for Prince Oarglev. So much so that when he died he left that area of Breland to Prince Oarglev, payment for his loyal service. It is believed by many that this was the cause of the fracture in Breland and why in the end all of the nations and city state's allied together under the banner of the United Khorvairian Democracy. Thrane The once noble and great kingdom of Thrane is now a violent and heretical state. For the last 75years they have waged a bloody battle against the nation of Karnnathi. Thrane is still very much a theocracy, however Jalena has long sense passed into memory, the current keep of the flame is an adolecent boy named Balim. The Thranes have turned to their own brand of artificing, powered by the Silver Flame. They uses this new power they have harnessed to power weapons to battle the endless hordes of the Karnnathi. Aundair no ideas yet. |
