| #1revvecorMay 28, 2008 11:38:13 | I know that several people have voiced their opinion's as to what the two boards should be, but I thought a thread dedicated to the subject would be better. Personally I would like the Eberron boards;

| #2EdymnionMay 28, 2008 12:12:30 | Since we're unlikely to get three boards with our current amount of traffic, we should plan on only getting two. I'd advocate essentially a Crunch board, and Fluff board. Feats, spells, monsters, classes, prc on one board, People, places, races, planes, organizations on the other. |
| #3skrap-sanMay 28, 2008 14:39:52 | Well if we get three I too would prefer the boards suggested in the OP, but if we only get two I can most certainly live with Edys suggestion too. |
| #4EdymnionMay 28, 2008 15:45:52 | Well, the way to get three boards would, IMO, be to get two as fluff/crunch, and then maintain the post rate they want to see in say the fluff board, and then bring the crunch board back up over 25-30 threads per day. That would then get the crunch board split up. |
| #5elrodianMay 28, 2008 17:20:37 | i like the the fluff/crunch idea |
| #6rekkoMay 28, 2008 19:28:51 | If we have 2 boards, I'd go with Edy, Crunch and Fluff. If we have 3 boards, I'd say 4E Crunch, 3E Crunch, Fluff could be a good split. Rekko |
| #7dread_lordMay 28, 2008 22:27:33 | If we have 2 boards, I'd go with Edy, Crunch and Fluff. That sounds good to me. Separate the boards for rules stuff, since 4th ed rules are not going to help me one bit. But regardless of the edition we can all use setting info and support. |
| #8octaviusiiiMay 29, 2008 3:10:10 | And setting info is especially useful, given that the timeline is not advancing come 4ed. It would also be useful when dealing with reconciling the two different 'interpretations' of Eberron, one from 3.5 and one from 4. |
| #9ieattrollsforbreakfastMay 29, 2008 4:34:59 | I'm all for the Fluff/Crunch split, too. How about: Eberron: The Skyway - fluff Eberron: The Cogs - crunch ...just because I think it'd be fun to have setting specific names. |
| #10joni-sanMay 29, 2008 9:46:02 | I'm all for the Fluff/Crunch split, too. How about: This. -Joni |
| #11naturaxMay 29, 2008 10:14:52 | I also like the idea of splitting the boards up into fluff and crunch. The reasoning behind this is that people coming here for help with their campaigns are looking at plot elements and story ideas and we want to be able to provide this sort of feedback for each other in a mechanic-neutral way in order to support 3.5 and 4e players of Eberron (and of course those using yet other systems, such as M&M2e). Other people come here to talk about the prestige classes and races and feats and particular spells and things, and they need to have a space to hash all of that out with other players using the same setting as them, but that feels like a fundamentally different type of discussion from what I described in the first paragraph. |
| #12uliahhafengrimMay 29, 2008 12:19:43 | I'm also a fan of the fluff/crunch combo. I've got plenty of crunch in my books, so I typically look for other people's ideas and interpretations of Eberron fluff. That's the most compelling aspect of the setting for me. It's still fun to look into the random crunch memes that never die (firearms I'm looking at you). |
| #13skrap-sanMay 29, 2008 16:59:52 | (firearms I'm looking at you). Hey its a long time since we have had an discussion about that... maybe one should revive a thread or two..? |
| #14octaviusiiiMay 29, 2008 21:08:53 | Hey its a long time since we have had an discussion about that... maybe one should revive a thread or two..? And more active threads can never hurt the cause! (OT, we seem to be quite an active community nowadays: I have to look in the friggin' second page to get to some stuff posted today! Go us!) |
| #15ArdegrathMay 30, 2008 8:10:25 | It would be interesting if you had to look into the the third page. That would be awsome ^_^ |
| #16joni-sanMay 31, 2008 19:59:16 | Go to this thread. GO GO GO! -Joni |
