Jun 22, 2009 0:10:07 An Elf from Cyre allowed me to take her portrait. This dates from before the Mourning.

Of course, click here for larger. On the subject of this portrait, someone wanted me to do a Talenta Halfling on his carver with a human sized humanoid for scale. Well, because of time, I decided to do one with Cyre in the background instead. Since it is Autumn, and dusk, I thought I'd well . . . add a hotter light. :D

This elf is of the Wizard persuasion, but don't rely on her being a striker. She studies Quantum Mechanics as it pertains to power and spellcasting. She might be teaching at the not-so Distinguished Institution of Margrave University or have found work within the Arcane Congress. Whatever her fate, I'd leave that up to each of you who DMs.

It's the Poison Elves esthetic. If you're gonna give 'em ears, why be restricted by a TV prosthetics budget?

On a more serious note, I'd love to know the software package/tech specs used here. I recently picked up the full version of Poser, but I'm years away from executing something like that.

So they don't look utterly stupid. Good grief, those aren't ears, they're antennae.

Oh? You haven't played the REAL 4th Edition of D&D? World of Warcraft? Or watched The Record of Lodoss War? I used the Sin'dorei morph I got off of Renderosity. The morph, called Syndori, makes Victoria 4 look like a Blood Elf. I just added the morph, morphed the ears, and added the mat pose, and wholla!

I also used a kimono. DAZ 3D has YET to release the Mac Version of their Dynamic Clothes for DAZ Studio.

No and no. And as far as I'm concerned, elf ears are not that freakishly long in 4e either. Benefit of art being fluff; that makes it mutable.

They're still long enough that I find them ridiculous.

Jun 22, 2009 15:53:43 I like `em. I like WoW elf ears too. The only type of long elf ears I don't like are the kind that stick straight out from the head, like, perpendicular to the skull. Those are rather silly. (Record of Lodoss War does it sometimes)
