| #1OgiwanJun 13, 2009 17:13:50 | Greetings, all. I am hella excited on the upcoming Eberron releases, to the point where I am inordinately distracted from the writing of my thesis. So, in an effort to get this longing for Eberron out, I want to start a thread about the encounters you're looking forward to running. One of the encounters that I want to run starts out as a fight in Morgrave University's library, only the fight moves outside when someone gets knocked out a stained-glass window, and into an outdoor cafe that just happened to be on the other side of said window. So, first, there is Library-related swashbuckling, knocking over bookshelves, bowling with globes, and toppling suits of armor and the like, and then, fighting on tables, pole-vaulting with umbrellas, and throwing chairs. If things go right (or wrong), it could then lead to an aerial chase through Sharn. What are yours!? |

Preferably with something huge chasing it... and with little threats on the innside eating all the passangers. Or my Jungle chase scene were the party is running away from a T-rex in the Jungle and preferably a tribe of lizard folk. |

I'm thinking of having them stumble into the ghost car to deal with the spirits trapped there, and definitely having a fight on top of the moving train against thieves sent to loot the thing. |

Setup: This encounter takes place in a recreational pool below the Twilight Palace hotel. the pool is heated by a fire elemental which was artistically placed in a glass tube that stretch from the bottom of the pool all the way up to the ceiling. around the pool are tents used by the guest to receive relaxing spa treatments. The PCs have arrived here to meet with a contact but are forced into combat when an Aundairian swordmage tries to assassinate him. During the encounter the swordmage breaks the glass-tube and release the fire elemental, turning the area into a hazardous place full of steam and one angry elemental. I'll edit some more encounters once I'll get some sleep... |

| #7quendi_jhaelianJun 15, 2009 19:18:11 | ~I'm excited to have my group of adventurers be fighting in a war with the Lord of Blades and his army of superior warforged. They will be fighting and some giant metal airships with lightning arcing through them will hover above the field. The airships will proceed to sprout giant metal legs (transformers-style) and turn out to be enormous Forge monsters. ~Also, a high speed chase with Wheeled Forge monsters and Cannith Armoured Reconaissence Ships (CARS) which will be self/elemental propelled armoured wagons. Oh, how i do love Eberron. |
| #8ChrisTheSJun 15, 2009 20:25:38 | I WAS looking forward to having a battle with a corrupted Aspect of Bahamut in Sharn (taking a big page from Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, to the point of even buying the Bahamut SIN figure to use as a mini). However, my Eberron campaign kind of ended due to persistent absence of one rather crucial player. So I'm going to be using that encounter in a different game instead (one that's actually based on FFVII, who'dathunkit). |

The group is going to fight through the Kobold Stronghold to rescue villagers, only to be tipped off by the one renaming captive that the rest have been traded to Darguun Slavers. Then the group will have to battle against all kinds of goblinoids to rescue the slaves before they are taken to the heavily fortified Rose Quarry. Oh wow, I'm so excited to get my hand on the new Eberron book, I have so much planned. |
