Pretty much. It actually makes me interested in the planes (which usually I don't care about).

Well when it come to the planes in Eberron you generally only encounter them as manifest zones and not many conquer the world threats come directly from the planes. What I mean is that in Eberron you don't generally have a planar portal opening up and a fleet of gihyanki flying through.

Except for Xoriat of course - not the githyanki of course, but the portals opening and monsters pooring through (although in case of Xoriat it might very well be githyankis) ;)
