She will be the ultimate BBEG for a campaign I am running. Please let me know what you think. The right way to build her? Ignore classes and levels. Figure out approximately what a 20th level gestalt Lady Vol would have for HP, Saves, AC etc, then give her cool abilities (including spells) she should have for your story and the fight(s) she's going to be in. That's all you need to do. The players will never see her stats right? |

| #4tos_shai_huludMay 11, 2010 17:56:10 | I think I've decided on Dread Necromancer / Cloistered Cleric 10 followed by Blood Magus / Cloistered Cleric 10. The Blood Magus doesn't really work with undead creatures, so I am going to make some changes to it to make it more appropriate for Vol. |

I don't mean to derail the thread, but my curiosity's gotten the better of me: why do this? My instinct is to agree with smurf, but I identify strongly as anti-simulationist in this regard, as I suspect does he. What pint or advantage does (a) having a complete stat block for Lady Vol grant, and (b) why do you feel the players should see it? |

By providing a stat block for NPCs that are enjoyable to face off against, they provide easy use for others to plug into their own campaigns. I provide the full stat block, they take the stats and use them as BBEGs in their own games. |
