-The Forgotten Realms/Eberron sections were not on Gamer Zer0's original draft of what the new WotC Messageboard layout. While there is no doubt in my mind that they will 'ported over in the boards reorganization, the form both the Forgotten Realms and the Eberron sections take is in jeopardy. I've already suggested that they be brought over in the forms they take now:

Does anyone know what will happen to these forums after 4e is released? Will they simply keep the forum as is and allow members to discuss whichever version they'd like, or will they can these forums and make them 4e only?
Based on the discussions going on at RPG Boards Business, it looks like the Eberron boards will remain as they are, but the 4E Eberron board will probably be folded into these.
Since most of the discussions here are about fluff rather than mechanics, you probably won't notice much of a difference. I expect you'll probably have to discuss new Eberron 3E material on the new 3E board, and stick to new 4E rules here.

What does that have to do with the price of tea in China? My point is that fighting for the forums is moot. There's nothing to fight for. They aren't going anywhere because they will be right here and will not be exclusive to 4e as I understand it. Thus you don't need a 3e version of FR or Eberron forums in the 3e boards.

After June there won't be a "3E forums" or a "4th Forums". There is going to be a "D&D Forum". Whether Forgotten Realms and Eberron remain separate forums are get consolidated into the D&D Forums depends entirely on CM's evaluation. one of the criteria they have been using for evaluation is the volume of traffic on those forums.

And where was it communicated that the Eberron and FR forums would not retain the subsections?
PS - For the record, I personally would prefer a single Eberron forum. I sometimes find it difficult to find where I saw a particular thread as well as to determine which subsection I should post a question that might relate to more than one subject area.
In terms of keeping up with new thread topics, that's what the RSS feeds are for. Before you say, "I don't understand/use RSS feeds," I'll answer with, "You should." :P

-All of the forums will be experiencing a "shake up" in the reorganization. G0 is looking for ideas and imput. Whereas I suggested things stay as they are, with the Forgotten Realms and Eberron retaining their subsections, others have suggested that they all be consolidated into one single board. As this is not a very good idea concerning the Forgotten Realms, again, I am speaking for Eberron, too.
