#1 Beoric Jan 05, 2015 21:24:05	My PCs took a wrong turn and are currently headed to Yrlag in the northern Shadow Marches.  Is anyone aware of any materials dscribing this town, or has anybody developed it on their own?
#2 EnderXenocide0 Jan 06, 2015 10:09:45	The only tidbit I've been able to locate is a sentence in The Grieving Tree mentioning that it was the westernmost outpost of the Dhakaani Empire and this heritage shows in great works of ancient engineering and crumbling ruins.
#3 Beoric Jan 06, 2015 11:46:42	It seems a bit isolated to have great works of anything.  It is pretty far north, well out of the swamps and where I understand the dragonshard fields to be.  The only reason I can imagine that it would still be around is to export logs harvested in the Reaches and floated down the Grithic River.  Or maybe quarrying in the Byeshk Mountains.   The only reason I can think for it to have stonework is as a military outpost to either subjugate the orc population, or try to contain the Daelkyr.    On second thought, it could have been an important outpost if they were mining byeshk during the war with the Daelkyr.  That would have been a particularly valuable metal at the time.  I think I am going to go with that:  a mining and logging town, with ancient hobgoblin fortifications for a large enough garrison to control much of the surrounding area.  Maybe with a series of watchtowers leading up to the mines.
