Gasslak: His loyalties?

Mar 15, 2008 19:15:27 I'm interested in the medusa mentioned on S:CoT pg 63.

But what I'm curious about is where his alliances may be. He can call on Daask. Any other suggestions?

I ask because one of my PCs is a Dhakaani exile and he's trying to get the goblins in Malleon's Gate to drink the Dhakaani koolaid. I'd like to involve him in a plot with Gasslak asking him a favor, but I'm trying to think of a good "Favor" for the medusa to ask in exchange for getting the goblins in line with the PC's way of thinking.

Mar 16, 2008 9:16:14 I'd like to think that he, as a medusa, is ultimately loyal to the Queen of Stone back in Droaam. The Queen could be trying to overthrow the hags or there could be some other kind of politics going on in Droaam. To that end, Gasslak could want some information or something done that would normally be contrary to the interests of the Daask, and therefore would need someone else to do it (the PC(s)) so that Gasslak wouldn't be exposed.

A lot happens in Sharn that affects the rest of Khorvaire. There are dealings with DMed houses, there are diplomats from other nations, and a lot of material (legal and otherwise) gets shipped through Breland's largest port.
