Hi!

Just wanted to ask if whether anyone knows if there are any official rules for Darkweave and Glamerweave clothings.

Thanks

Hm.

Well in the 3.5 ECS Darkweave granted a +1 to Hide in shadowy areas and Glamerweave a +1 to Diplomacy.

In 4E, we have "camouflaged clothing" which grants a +1 to Stealth for hiding for 30 GP. We also have "fine clothing," also 30 GP, which provides no specific benefit, but I imagine that asking the DM to allow it a +1 to Diplomacy checks against nobles from the area of the outfit, or something like that, would be just fine (same situational bonus, same cost, same body slot--I'd say yes).

However, we don't have an item named Glamerweave nor an item named Darkweave; we merely have generic items that fill the exact roles formerly filled by those.

No official rules that I know of...

But just as it has been suggested elsewhere that 4e's "residuum" takes the form of dragonshards in Eberron (especially when enchanting items), I'd suggest that glamerweave is the main ingredient in things like Hats of Disguise and certain types of cloth armor and capes. That is, rather than saying, "Glamerweave has THIS property," I'd say, "This item has this property because it is glamerweave."

But I also don't see any problem in saying glamerweave grants a +1 item bonus to such and such checks.
