I've been running an eberron game for the past 30 months and we started in Q'Barra. There are TONS of great jungle adventurers once you start looking. There's also a great one involving giant apes in a lost city. New Throne, the capital of New Galifar, is a great place to have some intrigue going down. I also heavily drew on House Thrashk as they are very active in Q'Barra. Secret cabals dedicated to the Devourer god, tons of ancient sites from the Demon/Dragon war, and lost ruins aplenty! I'm happy to brainstorm or provide more specifics! Your game sounds fun. |

For instance, take your favourite approaching-savage-horde adventure (Red Hand of Doom comes to mind), and replace the humanoids with kobolds, lizardfolk and dragonborn. If there are any portions of the adventure in small villages, set those in Tharashk camps or outposts. Since it is Eberron, at some point after the slaughter, when the PCs are looking out over the corpses of the lizardfolk, make it clear to them that the impetus for the attack was concern over the impacts of Tharashk prospecting – maybe use some of the hooks in part 1 of the Eye on Eberron article about Q’Barra (Dungeon 182) - and make Khalar d’Tharashk the real villain of the piece, with plenty of potential to recur later.
Or adapt Remains of the Empire from Dragon 165, since that already has dragonborn attacking villagers. |
