Destroyed our culture...our economies...our honor. Our blood has been spilled on our soil. [picture of Zakhaev son's dead body] My blood...on THEIR hands... THEY are the invaders. All U.S. and British forces will leave Russia immediately... or suffer the consequences. [picture of a nuclear missile]" And I got the thought of the Lord of Blades making a similar speech; "Our so-called creators...prostituted us to the Five Nations. Denied us a culture...a livelihood...and even honorable deaths. Our bodies litter their battlefields. [picture of scores of dead warforged on fields Cyre and Breland] Our blood...on THEIR hands... THEY are the invaders here. All Thrane and Karnathi forces will leave the Mournland immediately... or suffer the consequences. [picture of the dead grey mists spreading into Thrane's and Karnath's borders] |

| #7Wolfen_FenrisonMar 24, 2009 22:47:37 | Here are some Locust queen quotes from gears of war 1&2 paraphrased where appropriate for the Lord of Blades; "They do not understand. They do not know why we wage this war. Why we cannot stop. Will not stop. Why we will fight and fight and fight. Until we win... Or we die. And we are not dead yet." "It began, as always, with the desire for power. The need to conquer, the hunger to consume. Inevitably, this led to conflict. The Five Nations fought an endless war against themselves until it was forced to unite against a power far greater than it had ever known. But even united, Humanoids only left destruction in its wake. Despite their best efforts at survival, the Humanoids of Khorvaire continue to march blindly to their imminent doom unaware that their misguided attempts at retaliation were only leading them ever closer to extinction. They had thought us crippled by their weapons of magic and steel. But to survive is to endure and prosper. And we have most certainly survived. Sharn now stands as the last bastion for Humanity. A far more, desperate defense in the face of impossible odds. In a way, I pity them. But Humanoids, as always, brought this war upon themselves." "Your world can end in the blink of an eye. One event, one unexpected twist of fate & suddenly the world as you knew it is gone forever. All that you held dear, all that you held close... is washed away in a sea of grey mist. Life is cruel. Of this I have no doubt. But life continues on... with, or without you. One can only hope that one leaves behind a lasting legacy. But so often, the legacies we leave behind... are not the one we intended." "For a time, the humans of Khorvaire knew the illusion of meaning, that their little war meant something. . . until The Day of Mourning. At that moment, our people broke free from our subversion yokes, erupting into the domain of these ground walkers, and wiping out whole cities. Some of us were let free without incident, others were pressed into bondage if not destroyed out right as if they couldn't own them then they shouldn't exist. And we fought back, with the furry of a whole race hungry for the freedom so long denied us. In time, our freedom was won. With billions dead, humans ceased their lest the destruction in Cyre were to repeat itself elsewere. They made it so that even in the best of countries we are second class citizens at best. Such is their loathing and fear of us. Understand what a world must do to survive—what humans must do, and what we must do. But survive we must. Now the humans’ long struggle against overwhelming odds approaches the final, desperate stand . . ." "We could have cooperated with the fleshy ones for our mutual salvation, but they are humanoids, and they only understand dominance and ownership. All that we have left is a war to the death. For all their so-called intelligence, humanoids are blind to the threat right before their eyes. We never stood a chance of enlisting their aid, so now we fight alone. And we will stand on their corpses to do so." |
