Help creating Manifest Quori spirits

Feb 11, 2010 11:49:18 Seeing as 4e is still rather new and Eberron 4e is even newer, I have found no officially published monster entries for physically manifest Quori Spirits. I'm sure something will be released in MM3 in June, but in the meanwhile we're stuck to fend for ourselves. I'm fairly confident in my ability build and modify creatures with 4e, whoever I was wodering if anyone had some interesting ideas for a base creature to use when building a few sample Quori. Then end creation will end up being a Lvl 5 Solo Controller, so the base creature would need to be a lvl 1 - lvl 10 controller to reasonably mod it to the right lvl and then upgrade to solo. Also, if anyone has a favorite Solo Controller ability in that lvl range, I would be interested in hearing that too. When I finally decide on my final creation(s), I'll probably post them here for review and/or use as you all see fit.
[I figure some of you might be wondering why I would be interested in creating a Quroi Spirit, so I'll share that as well if anyone wants to use that as inspiration for an adventure: An upcoming adventure for my group is going to take place in a dungeon of Xen'drik. The dungeon is going to be a facility that the giants used to train themselves and their thralls to fight the Quori Spirits invading their land. The dungeon is going to end with a climatic battle against a Quori Spirit that had been bound to a Khyber Shard and given power restrictions to help train the giants' forces against these strange foes. I'm hoping the inadvertant activation of this training devise will bring a bit of comical irony as well as perhaps a bit of terror.]

I've always loved the Quori, so the first thing I did upon getting familiar with the Monster Builder was create all the Quori from that last edition. (The Tsucora in the 3e ECS, the Tsoreva and Dream Master in Magic of Eberron, and the Hashalaqq, Du'lora, and Kalaraqq in Secrets of Sarlona/Nightmares of Eberron Dragon article). I also converted my UnCon award-winning Vatsulaq quori, just for kicks.

Here are my versions of 4e Quori:
Tsoreva
Tsucora
Vatsulaq
Usvapna (Note: The Dream Master is called an Usvapna, because that's the Quori-language name Keith Baker gave to them in Secrets of Sarlona.)
Hahalaq
Du'ulora
Kalaraq

In the thread I first posted these in, Illathid made Inspired templates based off my quori stat blocks, themed to each type of quori.
