My PCs are not native to khorivair, the actually came from FR at lvl1 but dipped into ravenloft over halloween and just recently found a way out. Im setting the eberron world up as " forgotten realms" 40000 years into the future. During the Age of Giants, an event happens that shook up the continent. Anyways, my PCs walk into a town and start asking questions about dalelands and old FR regions, but the locals dont know what theyre talking about. The decide to pick up some local work to boost their rep in town and so go fight a local band of bandits for 5-6hours. In the meantime, the authorities communicate to larger cities, and perhaps universities, and discover these people are talking about places that existed 5 centuries ago. This makes the news, and now theres alot of people, good and bad, looking for them. Thats what has happened so far. Now going forward in the campaign, id like to some how use the Cult of Vol, and the warforged factory in Mourneland, to create undead + warforged hybrids. I would like to go about it somethign liek this. Heroic tier -- several retrieval quests for people ( agents of Vol looking for artifacts ) but also for warlords looking to better the area. Id like to have them fight korrnath's undead military and possibly some regular warforged, who claim to be from breland ( sharn ). Toward the end of the teir the PCs basically have to choose either to pick a side, or not pick a side and try to quell the tension. Paragon - As the scramble to either assist their chosen side, either kharrnath or with the surrounding countries in defense or quelling the fighting, They become aware that both sides have been set up. the Cult of Vol has sent undead to attack neighboring countries with evidence their from kharrnath, and sent warforged into kharrnath to attack its residences with eveidence from breland and other countries. Towards the end of the tier, they have to brign the other countries to the same table and explain whats happened. Epic- The PCs now know whats going on, and have enough information to figure out the factory in mourneland is functional and has Vol assisting. What the will find out, is that the group responsible has unearthed part of a titan, and alogn with an item or two the PCs gathered during the heroic tier, have tapped into its power making an army of undead warforged hybrids. Id like to have a large scale battle somewhere towards the end, with the PCs finally infiltrating the main stronghold and killing the BBEG there, severing the link with the titan and resolving all the bad issues. I know its alot, and it might not be very accurate with all the history and things, but im kinda new to eberron as a whole and this is what ive came up with so far. Please feel free to offer advice and suggestions on how to make this flow with the setting and be as accurate as possible. Also, any neat ideas would be welcomed. Thanks Tylar |

Are you planning on making them new versions of FR's gods or userpers or having them be a completely different religious pantheon? Also you might want to consider that the creation story of Eberron is pretty unique and doesn't really mesh with FR. The sky is also very unique in it's constellations, moons and the ring of Khyber shards encircling it. I'm not one to rain on anyone's parade but it seems like you might be causing yourself more issues than neccessary by making them the same world. But maybe that's just how you like it so more power to ya. It might be easier to just make them world jumping spelljammerish adventurers who are visiting eberron from FR. You might say the places the PCs asked about are still on the continent of Sarlona, a land that most Khorvairans don't know much about and the origianal homeland of humanity. |
