How big do people think the 4E Eberron Player's Guide will be?

If you took all the instances I've seen of people posting "that will probably be in the 4E Eberron book", you'd have a tome about twice as thick as the PHI, consisting of nothing but races and classes.

We know the the Forgotten Realms Player's Guide will have one new class (Swordmage) and two new complete races (Drow and Genasi). I'm inclined to believe those numbers will be similar for the Eberron Player's Guide. Is there any reason to believe differently?

Artificer class, Warforged/dopplechangling/shifter/kalashtar race write ups.

That's only what? 21 pages? (2 pages per race, average 13 pages for a class with paragon paths and what not)

A feats section, whaever the new write up on dragonmarks will be, some extra paragon paths. Magic items...

really I'm wondering what they'll pad the player's guide out with.

really I'm wondering what they'll pad the player's guide out with.

I don't think it's breaking NDA to say that one of the things will be the information you need to play a character from a particular nation. One of hte problems people have had so far is that you can't hand a Karrnathi PC the Karrnath section of the ECS and say "Read that." PC information and DM information are jumbled together, and some of the most basic useful things (the "Five Things Every Karrn knows" sort of things) aren't even in the core book. So dark secrets about undead rulers may be in the campaign book, but the player's guide should provide you with that basic information you need to understand the world.

In comparison to the 3.5 PGtE, the PGtE still has a lot of secrets in the book, just covered by "you don't know this unless you make this skill check." I expect most of that information to be in the CG, so the Player's Guide really is a PLAYER'S Guide.

But of course, until books are at the printer, it's all conjecture.

Yes, but how long will those sections really be? I'm imagining something more along the lines of the ECS wrie ups minus the DM specific material which were 2-3 pages each, rather than chapters like Five Nations, which some seem to expect.

Given WotC's new format where they like to begin and end entries at the begining and end of the page, rather then letting monster, race, or any7 other information start in the middle of the page I'd expect that Khorvaire nations would have two page entries. You open to those two pages there is the basic information someone from Karrnath would know. No page flipping needed beyond that.

Again that's just my conjecture based on the format of their latest books. I could be wrong, but I think that it would be a strong format to use for this.

Remember that 5N had a lot of spoilery material in it as well (Especially Karrnath's best-kept worst-kept secret) so we'll probably see a lot of information.

I'd expect:

-Brief facts anyone without History skill training would know.
(Karrnath is ruled by King Kaius III, they're big on their military history, the Blood of Vol is most commonly practiced there...)
-More detailed information a citizen/traveller would know and stuff that your party can probably put their heads together to figure out without going to a library.
(Karrns make damn good cheese, Rekkenmark Academy has a long and illustrious history, they've allied with the Talenta halflings against the Valenar Elves...)
-Roleplaying reccomendations/Traits.
(Guarded, pragmatic, loyal, respect strength...)
-A general sense of deeper topics.
(The Thranes and Karrns have a mutual dislike, do a good buisness from selling wood, were doing fairly well at the end of the war...)
-Specific feats and powers from nations, though this'll probably be in a seperate section.
(Rekkenmark commander training, The Blood's Calling, The Karrlakton Shield Technique...)

Its probable (based on hints elsewhere), that Doppleganger and Shifter will be in PHB2 so we don't need those in the Eberron PHB. That means the Eberron PHB needs:
* Warforged
* Kalashtar
* Daelkyr Half-Bloods
* Eneko

It could be the latter 2 will be excluded (as they're not considered important enough) or MM2 races, meaning Eberron will have a similar number of races to the FR PHB.

That leaves the Artificer as the only class needed (only one I've seen mentioned anyway).

I'm voting for Warforged and Kalashtar, as well as some racial feats/paragon paths for other races.
