Please tell why this place would be great (the more specific, the better). Please tell anything that could make said experience even better. |
| #2TalaeDec 18, 2008 8:59:53 | Nobody has anything that they love about Eberron? |
| #3skrapsanDec 18, 2008 10:30:04 | I do, It just gave me an coolness overload. There is just too much cool stuff in there. But Q'barra holds a special place in my heart. The jungle, the demon ruins, the lizard folks, the frontier feel and not to forgett the dinosaurs! |
| #4herogoethDec 18, 2008 10:57:30 | Adventure? As in to send your PC's on a terribly awesome single adventure in a specific place? Not a starter adventure for a campaign, but a singular place that the PC's have never been before? The intrigue and national complication involved in exploring the epic dungeon below Thronehold really screams some thick Eberronian` potential to me. |
| #5oidDec 19, 2008 18:26:54 | aerenal. you can't beat the extremely ancient ruins (some not even the deathless can recall!). the defferant facts at play and the elves and deathless themselves. think of what you can get mixed up in.:D |
| #6goblin_prideDec 19, 2008 18:37:51 | Dhakaan. Considering how far and wide it actually ran, that pretty much means most of Khorvaire. Call it Darguun if you wish. The interplay between the various factions of the nation and the factions within those factions makes for a political nightmare. If you think the parliament in Breland is volatile, you should sit in on a meeting of the Duuma in Volaar Draal.... |
| #7wymarcDec 19, 2008 21:10:25 | ![]() one place.... one place.... Hmmm..... I'd have to say Sharn. I've always preferred the monsters of the human(oid) soul. |
| #8Elemental_ElfDec 19, 2008 22:00:17 | I would adventure in Fairhaven... But I'm biased because I love Aundaire ![]() |
| #9octaviusiiiDec 21, 2008 3:41:23 | One place? Only one? That I've never been before? I was going to say Sharn but I've been there. So, I'd have to say it's a toss-up between the Lhazaar Principalities and Thrane. The former because of the pirating, and I think naval stuff would be exciting, and the latter because of the politics of the place, and the fact that you may be fighting LG folks on a regular basis. Huzzah! |
| #10TalaeJan 02, 2009 4:24:09 | Any other takers? I really enjoyed running my Xen'drik campaign last year. I had the party fighting everything from Giants to Drow to being apart of a gladiator tournament. This time around I am trying to convey things that could only happen is Eberron. The party is currently taking missions from a captain of an airship to preserve the prophecy. |
| #11TyranthraxusJan 02, 2009 5:03:09 | Id like to see more adventures set in Sarlona. It's mostly undeveloped and parties would find it difficult to operate as they would normally because of the differences in that society. |
| #12xi_maoJan 06, 2009 14:12:14 | Talenta Plains. I had this idea for a Spaghetti Western campaign about the players being bodyguards for the frontier towns around the ever expanding lightning rail line. Part of the joke was the first game would open with the players walking into the frontier town just in time to see a human fighter thrown through the window of a nearby saloon. Even allowed one of the players to take a pair of special repeating hand crossbows that could be primed to fire with one hand... |
| #13PJammaGodJan 07, 2009 6:05:56 | To be honest my one place I'd love to do an adventure would not be actually located in Khorvaire. I love Adar with all of my gaming heart, the huge peaks, deep valleys, the cold war of attrition between the Riedran's and the Adaran's. The Storm Guardians quietly watching the events play out below them. The chnace that Tarantai could possibly come back if the Shroud was tied into the Teeth of the Three. The eight great monasteries that train body, mind and soul into perfect unison. The Kalashtar and their multitude of psychic allies who all are fighting to protect the last bastion of freedom... Yeah I could wax lyrical all day about Adar. Hell I might even dump my current adventuring party within Adar (once I have rules on Psionics) in time. There is a maenad within the party with a burning desire to return home... |
| #14xi_maoJan 08, 2009 21:10:32 | Hmm...gonna have to re read secrets of Sarlona. Adar never really struck me as intersting before... |
| #15rauricJan 11, 2009 7:32:26 | Stormhome. Sharn came close but I just DMd a campaign there and would like to try the home of House Lyrandar. I really want to play a khoravar bard in Eberron pretty badly and would love to play in a pirate-esque game with Chuthulu overtones and I think Stormhome would work. Plus I am sure there can be lots of intrigue that can be found there. |
| #16superdeadsmurfJan 11, 2009 18:57:10 | Sharn has just about everything. It could be a campaign setting of it's own. As it is, it's a microcosm of the awesomeness of the entire world of Eberron. Monsters, urban adventures, noir stuff, vast unexplored dungeons. Heck you can throw in dinosaurs, fights over lava pits, extra-planar attacks and more and never leave the city. It is beyond awesome. |
| #17saint_matthewJan 11, 2009 21:02:36 | This may seem strange considering their are such places as Sharn & Droamm on the list, but my choice would have to be equally strange. I would love to see Karrnath from the air, specifically Korth and the Nightwood. A nice flight in a skyship over the strict city of Korth would be awesome. |
| #18thaliostJan 11, 2009 21:12:21 | Adventure? As in to send your PC's on a terribly awesome single adventure in a specific place? Which book mentions the epic dungeon? I do have a love on Thronehold too. ![]() |
| #19thaliostJan 11, 2009 21:12:56 | If you could pick one place to adventure in Eberron, where would it be? And as for this post, I think my nick by itself suffices... |
| #20TalaeJan 11, 2009 22:15:12 | This may seem strange considering their are such places as Sharn & Droamm on the list, but my choice would have to be equally strange. I would love to see Karrnath from the air, specifically Korth and the Nightwood. A nice flight in a skyship over the strict city of Korth would be awesome. This is exactly what my PCs will be doing shortly. They currently are in the Nightwood acquiring left over Siege Weaponry (read as constructs) from the Last War that was hidden in the Nightwood as part of the truce. They arrived via airship and will leave the same way. They could easily end up flying over Korth if the mood strikes me (or them) in the right way. |
| #21yakmanJan 14, 2009 13:19:05 | I would choose the vastness of Khorvaire's wilds. Just out of sight of the Lightning Rails, far from the works of men, where civilization carries no sway, but is tantalizingly close (yet ruinously distant) for PCs running for their lives... |
| #22DargurdJan 15, 2009 0:12:37 | The wilds of Eastern Karrnath by Lake Dark and Icetop Mountains. The simple, quite, extreme wild of the region coupled with cold weather snaps of snow and ice set the scene nicely. Add in the Emerald Claw, Blood of Vol and something dark in the Lake and bingo one Eberron adventure location ! |
