#12 Nived Oct 10, 2008 4:44:37	The only material I'm familiar with addressing the sexual habits of Kalashtar is that Kalashtar can interbreed with humans and half-elves. If a resulting child shares the same gender as the kalashtar parents they inherit part of the line's quori spirit and are kalashtar, if they are the gender of the human or half-elven parent they they are human, or half-elven (Races of Eberron 59) This would imply, to me at least, normal sexual reproduction. Though with the Kesh mindlink it might make sex like something out of Strange Days.
#13 Elton74 Oct 10, 2008 8:27:26	Oh, they finally moved this thread. I had a conversation with the Infernal Bovine on this very thing. His reply was interesting, to say the least. The reason why I asked was very simple. Humans can share souls when we have sex (apparently, we can also withhold our souls -- meaningless sex does exist). Now that I remember, it was actually Talia Winters that said it. On Babylon 5, in the fifth season, they tried to illustrate what happens when two telepaths made love. Apparently, Lyta Alexander broadcast her experience with the Vorlons to the whole group of telepaths while she was making love with Byron.

Also getting twice the pleasure as they'd be vicariously feeling what their partner is feeling through the link. I doubt that they'd 'broadcast' unless they were actually a full on telepath as their racial power is to form a specific link. I feel a bit odd talking about the sexual habits of an imaginary race...

I would say go for it, if you're thinking about the touching of minds a la mindlink I think it's a great flavour idea. Actually, I think in many ways the Psi-Corp of the Babylon 5 series is good model for Kalashtar, they would be seen as being very reserved and detached, but that goes with the discipline they have to remain to keep their sanity, the lack of dreaming and all that, but when they let down that guard, and fully open up to someone, as when having sex, all that passion is released.

I doubt they'd broadcast unless it was intentional, since it would require expending a power/expending power points (your edition may vary).
