I was wondering as the creator of Eberron what Keith Bakers opinion of Dungeons and Dragons Stormreach Online is? Does he or has he played? Does he get to have any input into the game itself? Again sorry if this has been asked before and I missed it. Thanks.
#2 whitebaron Oct 23, 2009 13:41:58	Keith used a macbook when he was visiting us in europe, so it's a bit unlikely that he plays DDO. As for input: this is generally true for all computer games - the initial developer of a setting very rarely gets a say as to what happens in computer games. Usually they contract the license for a certain game or story, and they'll put that up for review upfront, which will then be decided by maybe marketing, maybe just wotc's business relations or some managers...

Keith has played the game if I recall correctly... since he aided the story and art direction of the game in its earliest stages - thats one of the major reasons why large bits from DDO: Stormreach, made it into the stormreach book.

#6 mhacdebhandia Oct 30, 2009 4:23:57	We had a very interesting discussion about D&D Online: Stormreach when he was staying with us. We agreed that it's a shame that it doesn't pay as much attention to what the actual tabletop roleplaying books say Eberron and Stormreach are like as it could have, and I was surprised that he wasn't included in the design process more considering he'd been working on another MMO for quite some time before Turbine got the D&D license.
#7 jsm37 Oct 31, 2009 6:03:29	^^^^ Wow that is a shame. On a side note, the newest release has the Dreaming Dark in it. I can't wait to run that quest. Glad to see something from the novels being brought in especially since its Keith's brainchild. Side note:Will there be a sequel to the Dreaming Dark Trilogy? I miss my favorite WF.
