What I'd like to know is the source of the named Daelkyr (first is best, but any mention is good). Dyrrn the Corrupter - Mightiest? Created the dolgrim and dolaunts. Player's Guide to Eberron pg. 85 Belashyrra the Lord of Eyes - created the Beholders. Referenced in Khyber's Harvest & originally in Player's Guide to Eberron pg. 85 Orlassk the Master of Stone - created the medusa, basilisk, etc. Player's Guide to Eberron pg. 85, mentioned in Queen of Stone Kyrzin, Prince of Slime and Ooze Player's Guide to Eberron pg. 85 The Stained One - Magic of Eberron pg. 23-24 The Master of Silence - Referenced in the Dragon Below novel series. Bhodex'av'gr the Shaper of Plants - Five Nations pg 67-68 Anyone have any more references?

#3 tzarevitch Jun 09, 2009 10:00:46	Orlassk is also referred to (unsurprisingly) in the "Queen of Stone" novel. I don't have the book in front of me at the moment but it is mentioned that he came to the Great Crag during the war against the daelkyr, and petrified all of its citizens by his mere presence.

Yup, but Sheska herself omits the fact that Orlassk is credited with the creation of the Medusa race...

#7 tallric_kruush Jun 14, 2009 9:53:46	Anyone have any more references? Seven Daelkyr seems about right for my purposes. I'm not sure the world could handle anymore, bound in Khyber or otherwise. For some reason, I always had it in my head that only about six or seven were still around in Eberron. I'm not sure where I picked that up, or if I simply fabricated it myself. Thanks for the list. I'm sure I'd have wanted to see such a list at some time down the line.
#8 Nived Jun 14, 2009 10:38:13	Wasn't there a second one in the Dragon Below series besides The Silent One? The 'dead' Daelkyr Geth encountered when he went to the 'cutting place' which may have been a disjointed demiplane and got the legendary sword.
#9 dblizzard Jun 15, 2009 0:01:34	Seven Daelkyr seems about right for my purposes. Well, I am fine up to a dozen for my campaign. However, my main goal is options. I probably won't have some of these in my game, and will have others that meet my goals (right now I am considering a Daelkyr who dabbles in some fashion with undead, for example). Just because WotC might have published a score of different Daelkyr doesn't mean I have to use them all.
#10 Gilo Jun 15, 2009 1:02:56	Under the sands of the Blade desert lays a pyramid of a an alien (extra teresterial) Daelkyr. he once conquered an alien planet full of colossal constructs lifeforms. Those (now) aberrant colossal constructs minions await under the sand for their master call. (we are in the make new stuff-up phase now, are we?)

The 'dead' Daelkyr Geth encountered when he went to the 'cutting place' which may have been a disjointed demiplane and got the legendary sword. Jhegesh Dol was indeed the fortress of a Daelkyr. He's dead, though, as you said, slain by Rakari Kuun. I can't remember if his name/title is ever referenced. He had a thing for blades, so I'm sure his title would somehow reference that.

Yet, based upon the same encounter (and Geth's later observations, I believe) he's clearly much diminished. He appears to be a specter/ghost/spirit of some sort, rather than a living Daelkyr.

I actually submitted a 3.5 stat-block for "dealkyr shadows" after having read The Dragon Below trilogy. I based it on that blade-loving dealkyr spirit. You can check it out at The Dragon Above

You can check it out at The Dragon Above Well done. I like it. The CR seems just right, too, seeing as Geth was able to survive his encounter with the former master of Jhegesh Dol. One of the many things I eagerly await in the ECG is the newest iterations of Daelkyr, Dolgaunts and Dolgrims. I'd love to play in a campaign where they are a focus. Of course, I could say the same about the Dreaming Dark, the Lords of Dust, or any number of Eberron's villains. Eberron's full of excellent villains.

Well, the dolgaunts and dolgrims have been around for a while in 4E via a Dragon article (and the Compendium). Also... Show Statblocks are available in Saturday's Free RPG Day adventure.

Hey its a two hour drive and gas ain't cheap these days. And he's 3 its not like he's going to remember this one. I'm a terrible Uncle.

WotC won't do it, and I think they might not be able to. I am glad, though, I have my copy of The Delirium Stone written by Keith. Too much cool stuff in there... Show Time travel back to the War of the Mark... See the real negative effects of aberrant marks.... See aberrant marks that blow anything today out of the water.... See early weapons from the Dragonmarked Houses (Cannith mine laying constructs, Vadalis raised insect swarms....)

#27 Nived Jun 19, 2009 5:33:54	From what I've heard after a certain period of time the copyright for RPGA adventures reverts to their author, however the setting specific material in said adventures is retained by WotC making reprinting them... tricky. Heard this at Gen Con last year at one of the WotC panels.

I've heard several references to that adventure and I'm very curious how I missed it. I'd of course love to buy a copy and I'm not sure that's possible, but if nothing else I'd just like to know where the heck it came from!

Thank you very much, Marcus. That's very helpful. I must have missed that download. I'm running a campaign in Sharn that features some daelkyr themes (Lord of Eyes) and a strong "War of the Mark" history theme so this thread was fascinating to me. I'd love to buy or legally download a copy of the adventure or just get a synopsis of the Mark info. If it would be better to start another thread for this I could, or my email is mmateer @ gmail com.
