#1 Phobos Jun 10, 2010 10:33:16	Geth, main character in both of Bassingthwaite's trilogies has a Dhakaani artifact, a few infact... his sword, necklace and I think the gauntlet. Anyone have a 4e stat for them??
#2 m4kitsu Jun 10, 2010 12:54:10	The great-gauntlet is specifically marked out as Cannith-made. Geth occasionally reminisces about how long it took him to save up for it. His has never been described as being magical, but that doesn't mean it couldn't be enchanted. I'd imagine something like: Great Gauntlet * Superior one-handed melee weapon Proficiency bonus: +2, 1d6 damage  Properties: Off-hand, defensive  For Aram, you're definitely looking at an artifact scimitar, probably a Paragon-level item. It doesn't speak, but it does urge its wielder on, and it's goal is to restore and perpetuate the Dhakaani empire and destroy its enemies, particularly demons. It's made of byeshk, and grants the wielder the ability to understand the Dhakaani tongue while in-hand. It should probably start as a +3, and increase to +4 at higher concordance levels, as well as granting additional abilities of and related to the Empire and serving and strengthening it.

Aram is a sword that inspires its wielder to be heroic. It carries the memories of heroic deeds of its previous wielders. Its goal is not to restore/perpetuate the empire of Dhakaan, but forge heroes by encouraging/rewarding daring acts. Also, it is not demonbane. Byeshk's unique property is that it is a bane of aberrations (spawn of Xoriat). The artifact with the goal of imperialism is Guulen, the Rod of Kings. It inflames the user's ambitions and instills in them the desire to dominate. And finally, the last artifact to finish the set is Muut, the Shield of Nobles (not an actual shield but rather a set of 3 razor disks) that has the ability to counter/break the effects of Guulen. And about Geth's great gauntlet, it is not an artifact. It is basically a magic item that takes the shield/arm slot. It is made of "magewrought steel". I would make the great gauntlet a superior weapon just like the spiked shield is. Great Gauntlet - superior melee Proficient: +2 Damage: 1d6 Properties: Off-hand, defensive Group: Unarmed Magewrought Steel: magical enhancement that gives Resist Melee 2/5/10 etc depending on level
