I've read the Keith Baker books the Dreaming Dark trilogy and the first two books of Thorn of Breland (about 2/3 through The Fading Dream) and with the obvious characters of Xu and Daine, where are Lei and Pierce? I doubt they'd have taken the way things turned out too well. Are they in another book or just been left hanging? Seriously, the thought I migth have missed out on getting the info is killing me (well, not literally but you get the idea).

Anyone know or am I to die of knowledge starvation?

I have thoughts about what's become of Lei and Pierce, and I'd love to have a chance to explore them. But I don't know if it's going to happen in print; it's all a question of where Wizards decides to go with Eberron novels in the future. If nothing else, you can catch me at a con and ask there. Wink

Thanks, I know I didn't miss anything at least. At least I know I won't find out anytime soonish then. Ah well, I'll live. Thanks again.

At the moment, conventions I know for certain are Gen Con Indy, PAX Prime, and I think Kubla Con. But hey, if you know a convention that's looking for a gaming guest, I'm always happy to visit new places!

The best chance we have of seeing Lei and Pierce again (or any other Eberron character left hanging) is to support what remains of the Eberron novel line. There's only a few books out right now, and they probably won't be on shelves for long.  But one firm start is Marsheila Rockwell's The Shard Axe, which will be out in September.

And no, that's probably not going to be the actual cover.

Oh, cool! Legacy of Wolves was decent enough.

"D&D Online Eberron Unlimited"? Well, if it gives me more Eberron books, I'm down with it.

I didn't know you were in SLC - I passed through there on one of my first stops on my tour. What's the name of the con? Though generally I can't afford to go to a con unless I'm already in the area or they are looking for guests and can help with expenses - as I'm sure you know, the freelance life is not a path to vast riches.

Which is why I'm opting for Sharing and being a writer who cobbles together  . . . Nevermind that.  The convention is CONDuit.  conduit.sfcon.org/

I'm really sorry I stumbled over this thread really, really late.  They have a convention here every May.  If you contact them they may reserve a seat for you.  If they do, hopefully I might be able to show you something REALLY cool that has nothing to do with Eberron or Roleplaying games.  But I'll guarantee that your very own Dragonmarked heir would flip over if she knew what it could do. Wink

Then we can shoot the breeze about whatever.
