| #1bwcmd1Mar 09, 2009 6:27:47 | Just looking for a little assistance trying to come up with a description for an eldritch machine I'm throwing at the party. I've got all the rules I want down for it, just having a hard time picturing what an eldritch machine might look like. Essentially, it emits a broad necromantic field that causes the recently dead to rise as zombies (was reading through Open Grave and decided I needed to throw a zombie horde at the party). Any suggestions? |

In your case, I feel that Khyber dragonshards are the most appropriate. Other materials for your reanimator might be actual human flesh or bones. Glass and arcane marks might work as well.If it was created by a member of church it might look like the deity's symbol or one of its depictions(i.e. more like a statue than a machine. Other machines i have described as a complete mess of metal tubes, wood and stone. Once I even considered a machine that was a model of the city it would affect. |

I would picture the thing being made not just of Human flesh and bone, but rather out of Zombie flesh and bone. Perhaps the core of the machine, tied into the shard or shards, could be the dessicated heart of a lich. |

Creation Forges, the Twin Towers from LOTR, or the Mako Reactors from FF7. Personally, nothing says dark necromantic field emitter like a spiky spire covered in runes and magical leylines some hundred or more meters high. |
