Looking for help with Dreamspace ideas

I am running a campaign that has quite a bit of psionics. I want to create a base psionic class that involves pulling directly from the dreamspace (Secrets of Sarlona, pg. 18). Thinking more about it, I tried to envision what exactly the character would be doing. Essentially, he is making dreams manifest themselves in reality. So, I wanted to name the class, and I figured, something dealing with lucid dreaming would be appropriate. Reading up on lucid dreaming, there are two types: dream-induced lucid dreams and wake-induced lucid dreams. Because the character would be awake when inducing his lucid dreams, the latter seems the more appropriate form. The common acronym for wake-induced lucid dreams is WILD. So, one who performs that would be a WILDer.

At this point, I came full circle. I already decided against the wilder, as I did not like the flavor of the class. So, I want to reenvision the wilder's abilities to make sense in this context. For instance, the wild surge would become a WILD surge (contacting the dreamspace has the potential to greatly increase a WILDer's manifesting, but possibly to great detriment to the WILDer). I'm not sure what to do with elude touch, so I think I would drop in in favor of the Mantled Wilder. Additionally, instead of volatile mind, I think the Educated Wilder from the same link is more appropriate. Would anyone recommend any additional changes to the wilder to suit the flavor I'm intending?

I'm not too knowledgible about psionics, so I can't really help you.  I do have to ask, though: why did you post this in the Eberron forum?  You're going to get more traffic through your thread on "What's a DM/Player to do"

Anyway, you could re-flavor any class that relies on magic (arcane/divine/nature) into "makes dreams real".  The wizard didn't cast Fireball, he had a lucid dream where a fireball exploded right there.

I guess I don't see why you need a mechanic for this, when you could just wave your hands.

That is exactly what I am doing. I am taking a class and trying to flavor it the way I want. Wilder is a base psionic class. But, I am taking its abilities and making them work the way I want. I was looking for advice on the Dreamspace, and what effects it might have on manifestation. I apologize if I didn't make that clear. I am using the established mechanics for the Wilder from the Expanded Psionics Handbook, and I am giving it the flavor that I want. Next, I want to understand more about the Dreamspace so I can determine if I want to change the Wilder any more than just its flavor to represent this connection to the Dreamspace I'm after.

Were Secrets of Sarlona and Magic of Eberron the only places where the Dreamspace was discussed? I haven't seen any 4th ed materials on Eberron, so if it is there, I have no knowledge of it.
