May 24, 2010 2:54:24 i know this is probably in a book somewhere, but i will ask anyway. what powers would (or does) the dragonmark of death give a character? i was going to make a NPC that is a psuedo-BBEG/guiding hand good guy. he is going to have the siberys mark.

if it is in a book, could you point me to it pretty-please?

May 24, 2010 3:51:02 No powers for the Mark of Death because by the book there is only 1 creature left with the mark, and that is a lich who because of her status as an undead cannot use her mark. Not to say that you cannot change that of course ;)

What edition? The differences between 3E and 4E marks is rather significant.

The closest thing we have to the mechanics of the Mark of Death is that Erandis' mother apparently used the power of her mark to turn her into a lich without the usual ritual, and the Mark of Death novel series by Matt Forbeck, in which one character bears something that may or may not actually be a Mark of Death, but who has the ability to drain life with a touch.

Otherwise, you're firmly in DIY-land. Have fun with it.
