From the looks of the stats, a mage that uses sonic themed attacks. Probably the guy in the red robes with a staff that's shaped sort of like a tuning fork.

I don't recall him ever being given a name ... he could be 'Book', the only Warforged Wizard name I've ever heard, but I wouldn't bet any money on it.
I have his mini ... I'm hoping to play a WF Staff Wizard soon just so I can say, "My guy? Looks just like that."
Huh. Warforged even make pretty decent Staff wizards, too, with bonuses to Con (for Staff of Defense) and Str (For that melee basic attack you can make with staff implements)
Warforged wizards are a better idea than they look like at first, simply because wizards tend to drop in combat more often than most other classes. The bonus hitpoints and surges from Con, and the inability to fail death saving throws is one heck of a boon in those cases.
The WfWz in the campaign I run has fallen over at least a half-dozen times over the course of heroic tier, and never been particularly concerned about it (except when it causes him to lose his precious Stinking Cloud, of course.

Looks like a cleric of Moradin to me. I guess Moradin makes sense for the PoL adaptation of warforged.
I'd say most likely he's opening a can of divine whoop ass.

Well the Warforged Resounder is almost exactly what a Warforged NPC was in my 3.5 campaign. (A Warforged Wizard with the Unearthed Arcana substitutions for evocation specialists, who threw sonicballs instead of fireballs.)
...Actually, now that you mention it, it would probably be really easy to stat the weird Warforged from Keith Baker's Dreaming Dark Trilogy. (At least, easier than it was in 3.5)

I've always loved the artwork for that warforged wizard and the mini only made me want to play the character more. I've just never yet found the right campaign to play the concept in.
Anyway, I'm glad to see WotC revisiting old art concepts. Speaking of which, its nice to see the rather awesome warforged barbarian (also a mini) being re-imaged.

Yep. That is what 4E does for me as a DM. Lots of times I take some cool abilities and powers from other monsters or critters and just paste them onto whatever I want to get the effect I need for the fight. I can see many unique Warforged popping up on DDI and in campaigns in the next few months.
That is difenetly one of the things I prefer about 4e: it is just easy to use almost anywhere in the rules, whether a slitely ajusted monster or any thing else you might think of.
Also, is anyone else weird-ed out by the Warforged Cleric? He seems so... Core-y.

Well, long story short, the PCs were all hired to be crewmembers aboard one of Prince Rygar's Seadragon vessels, under the command of an NPC captain. The Captain's first mate was a gestalt Warforged Wizard/Artificer named Forge. He was known for Sonic Balling a target ship's sails, so the PC's vessel could more easly pirate it. (Or rather, privateer it. The Captain was a gestalt Paladin/Rogue. Legitimate Authority (Rygar) said it was legal for him to attack enemy vessels and loot them, so he did.)
That occupied the lower levels of the campaign. The mid levels featured Reidra building a Quori Monolith in Regalport as a "gift" to a mind-seeded Rygar, and the PCs kidnapping Rygar to bring him to the Enlightened Havakhad in Sharn to un-mindseed him. Higher levels focued on accidentally releasing a Dealkyr imprisoned beneath a small, unnamed island in the Lhazar Principalities, and trying to stop it from tearing the moons apart in order to bring down the walls of reality. (Actually, they released the Daelkyr really early on, but the Daelkyr was laying low and gaining power before he made his move.)
Well... that's not really a short story at all. Sorry. :P

It's kinda a spoiler. I encourage you to read the rest of the trilogy, it's really good.
