Names of the other Draconic Soverigns?

As I was re-reading Dragons of Eberron for the first time in a long, long time (when I first read it, I really didn't care for it, but I think I've found a few things I can work with now...), I noticed one of the names of a blue dragon (on page 9, and other pages): Ourelonastrix.

Now, I can see how that would have eventually been truncated to Aureon, which means that its a possibility that 15 dragons ascended to (what is supposed to be) godhood.

I'm wondering if its ever established anywhere else what the other Draconic names for the soverigns are. Anybody?

I don't have time to run through the books now, but I believe that about a half-dozen of them have been called out by name across various sources. DoE is the main one to check (among other things, if you look at the chapter openers, one has a battle between Dol Arrah and Katashka the Gatekeeper). But they've come up in a few other places.

Mind you, just because the names have been preserved in some form of myth cycle doesn't mean they HAVE ascended to godhood.

Jul 21, 2011 20:07:28 If I recall, Duralanahk (sp?) is the Draconic name associated with Dol Arrah, whereas Durlazurak is believed to resemble Dol Azur, AKA The Mockery.

I think Tiamat is along the lines of The Devourer, but I don't know for sure.

In page 30 and 31 of the ECG, it said the dracolich Mazyralyx is an inspiration for The Keeper.

Given the similarities of the names, it's likely Ourelonastrix is probably Aureon.

It's possible Bel Shalor and The Shadow are one and the same since some sources say Ourelonastrix learned magic from him.

There's also an Overlord called Rak Tulkhesh that is said to embody rage and war. I'd bet that one is tied to The Fury.

Am I the only one who finds it ironic that most of the possibilities for the Dark Six come from the Overlords? Definitely draconic arrogance, if nothing else.

1.) Hanzo's idea that the Overlords were the inspiration for the Dark Six.
2.) A splinter faction of dragons that sided with the fiends, because those dragons were Just That Evil.
3.) After the Overlords were banished, power struggles within the upper ranks of the draconic forces (the leaders who were going for deification, to further protect their kind) created the Dark Six.

Jul 25, 2011 0:15:31 Well the Dragons tend to consider most other creatures in the world to be little more than insects. Even the "good" ones are rather condescending, patronizing, and controlling. They'd think nothing of destroying countless humans/elves/dwarves in order to preserve the prophecy. You can only imagine what the evil ones are like.

While siding with the Overlords is an intersting idea, Dragons are bad enough that they don't have to go very far to become divine personifications of nature's cruelty in the eyes of lesser mortals.

Isn't Tiamat the prime example of what happens when a powerful dragon siding with the Overlords? Or was she the Overlord that personifies corruption of the dragons? Too long ago I checked Dragons of Argonessen.

She was an Overlord that had control over arrogance and selfishness. This made her particularly attractive to some dragons.
