As title says, I'm fairly new to eberron and i know about the scorpion worshipping blah blah blah... just seems weird that they were left out completely.

Drow are mentioned in a number of places, such as the point that they speak Giant, the drow-only feat, and the drow long knife and Xen'drik boomerang.

The drow cultures aren't mentioned because they are something the typical adventurer has never heard of... and the EPG is written with this in mind. It's the same reason the Age of Demons isn't mentioned, and that the Dhakaani empire is described as having fallen to "the usual infighting". Previously people complained that the ECS had too much secret knowledge to share with players. This time around, most of this knowledge is in the ECG. Obviously, if you want to PLAY a drow or a hobgoblin dirge singer you need this information - but it's up to the DM to pass it along. The ECG actually includes more on drow cultures that the original ECS did.

Yep. I love this about the players guide. The fact that certain things are not common knowledge with the players is great stuff.

That's great. I like the idea of being able to have players keep secrets from the other players if they want to. So I'll just have to hand out drow and dhakaani info to just one of my players :D

Although it does make me more certain in waiting for the ECG. Now all we need is for people to stop throwing around the info on these forums :P

The ECG is supposed to not only mention drow, but actually explain the three dominant cultures. IIRC, I don't even think races of Eberron mentioned any drow cultures other than the Vulkoori.

Well the Vulkoori are probably the only culture of Drow that the PC will probably have heard anything about what so ever. They are the are the drow that the ones that attack people if the walk outside of Stormreach. The other Drow cultures keep them selves pretty much hidden away within Xendix, mostly in the old Giant city ruins that haven't been discovered, or in Kyber.

For the most part info, as far as PC knolowedge goes, is extreamly limited as far as Drow go because most people who actualy try go looking for the Drow tend not to ever be seen again.
